Ten years later
Peter walked with Russell once Cody boarded the plane for his trip to explore campuses on both the west and east coasts. Russell leaned to bump shoulders with his husband before he wrapped his arm around his neck.
“When did our kids grow up? We’ve only had Cody and Maria for thirteen years, and Timmy for ten. It really is too soon to begin planning for an empty nest.”
