Denise wasn’t sure of the rules but she had a good friend of hers carry the glass tank. She held the baggie as they made their way to Russell’s room. Once inside, she took the water pitcher and made numerous trips to fill the tank. It was small, so she set it on a table near the window. She set the baggie on top. The golden critter inside wriggled. The pet shop owner said to let the baggie sit for half an hour so the water inside would reach the temperature of the water in the tank. Russell was dozing during this whole process. It was the day after surgery and the sedative had worn off. His abdomen hurt but apparently they pumped enough stuff through the IV to convince him that Oz wasn’t a fairy tale. Eventually she let the golden fish out of the baggie and seeing that Russell still slept,
