Terri was a stage 3 sales analyst, she had been with fence for fours and had done really good, she clicked with Rebecca when she found Rebecca was given a stage 2 employment which was a first and exceptional.
‘Hey Everyone, good morning ‘ Frank Rajat, who had a really soft voice for a man his size, he was technically one of the tallest in the building, he was recently promoted as their sales manager, he was a man with few words and good ears to listen. ‘Sorry I’m late, I had a bit of tingles coming up the elevator, never getting used to that thing ‘
Everyone laughed because he always a bit of fears for elevators and needed to catch is breath just for few minutes whenever he gets in one.
‘Sally, you looked like you got hit by a train, are you okay? ‘He asked with concern.
‘I’m good Frank, just didn’t have a good sleep ‘she responded.
Frank paused and looked at her intensively ‘You know you just lied and I’m not trying to intrude into your life but speak when you really need to’ He said to her ‘You could have called in sick too if you were too down to come, we need you healthy not sickly and a bit pale’ He added.
‘I said the same, I even say, we all did’ Terri spoke up.
Everyone nodded in agreement, they all knew it was thing with Sally to always be quiet while going through hell.
‘I would do better, I promise ‘ Sally stood up and bowed.
‘Ugh, don’t be so Japanese ‘ Frank complained ‘It’s fine Sally, it’s a team, we have you covered.
Sally smiles and nodded in response.
‘Moving on, So we have been contracted by Interior X and we have been given the opportunity to increase his popularity both locally and internationally.’ He continued. ‘I was just informed last night that the owner who is quite young wants to barge into the market with force which is effective with how much effort he has put in’
‘Interior X, the company who mainly deals on interior designs and housing, what’s his name again? ‘ Spencer, one of Rebecca senior colleagues asked, he was also a stage 3 like Terri.
‘Yes that’s them and he is called Calder Gray and he is good at whatever he does which made him build some innovation.’ Frank replied. ‘So what’s the Sales growth and user trends idea? ‘He asked
Terri rolled her eyes. ‘You just brought it up Frank and now you are asking for SGUAT ‘She mocked. ‘At least hold on for a while, let’s get our charts and bars well, shall we? ‘”Terri had the lowest respect for Frank, they started the same time and have been friends for just as long
‘I think he wanted us to bring down the company ‘Sally the other staff sitting opposite Terri replied
‘Nah c’mon He meant to should chew off them bit by bit’ Richmond laughed
Frank laughed just as everyone did too.
Rebecca looked at everyone. ‘So how do we commence from here? ‘ She asked.
‘Good question Rebecca, well unfortunately for you, I was informed that you would be taking the lead on this particular one. ’ Frank dropped the bomb. ‘We have other companies on our hands and each heads, this would be your first ‘ He added
Rebecca paused and couldn’t react immediately, it was an unexpected, she looked at the others and couldn’t see any surprise on their faces while Terri gave her an encouraging nod
‘What? How? But I’m just a stage 2, uhm’ She couldn’t find her words.
‘Do you feel you can’t do it or you feel you are too new for the opportunity to show what you can do’ Frank felt he had to ask
‘I bet my ass she can but I think she is really shocked at the opportunity to be a part and a head of something big ‘ Terri answered for her while she smiled encouragingly at Rebecca.
Frank smiled and looked at her, Rebecca looked at him and everyone. They were six senior staff with her, now she thought about it, she was the only stage 2 here. Terri, Spencer , Sally,
‘Do you understand now? ‘Terri whispered to her
Rebecca felt warm immediately, she felt different like something finally clicked. She suddenly felt a rush and she wanted to roar literally..
‘Can you do it? ‘Frank asked her while looking at her with a bit of a smile
‘Yes I think I can, no yes I can do it ‘She nodded affirmative lay ‘I can do it ‘ she repeated.
‘Excellent confidence but always remember you got us too, do it your own way, whenever you need a tip or two, we gat you’ Frank encouraged
‘Thank you Frank ‘ Rebecca replied feeling extremely grateful
‘You got me baby whenever you need me ‘Terri emphasized
‘We know that Terri’ Spencer rolled his eyes at her dramatic exuberance
‘Keep your nose out of my baby’s affair ‘Richmond said
‘What baby? Chorused everyone.
‘More like a mother’ Frank mumbled audibly
‘Yeah I’m everyone’s mother’ Terri replied lividly.
‘Mommy. ‘ Rebecca whispered to her
Terri had her mouth open in mini shock while everyone laughed, she couldn’t believe Rebecca could do that.
‘You are the mommy, all of you are the mommy ‘ She groaned in annoyance.
‘Sorry ‘Rebecca said after laughing for some minutes.
‘Alright, alright everyone that is settled, So Rebecca has interior X, Spencer you got Dirham, Sally continue with Zed, Richmond got street while others continue with what you all have.’ Frank said while
‘What about me Boss ‘Terri asked.
‘Just continue shopping for more good clothes’ Frank laughed while replying
‘What? ‘Terri called speechlessly
Frank raised his hands and laughed loudly, Others joined him including Rebecca.
Rebecca sat down at the bustling café, eager to catch up with Terri over lunch. As they perused the menu, Terri asked, “So, Rebecca, how do you feel to lead a team concerning Interior X ? I know you just started newly and it would be a new experience .”
Rebecca took a sip of her coffee. “It’s definitely a new learning curve for me, I have never been at the top controlling, I don’t even know if I can do very good at this, I have into sales for a while but this is definitely new, though. I have a bit background in design, but actually selling the products is a whole different story.”
Terri nodded sympathetically. “I know exactly what you mean! Taking the role of stage 3 can be tough, especially when you’re new to it. But don’t worry, I’m happy to help. What do you think would be the biggest challenge for you?”
Rebecca thought for a moment. “I think it’s just confidently pitching our productivity to the CEO . I know we have amazing portfolio and quality standard to work with , but since the announcement I have been in a bit of disbelief while I still worry that I won’t be good as you all have been.”
Terri smiled. “That’s totally normal, Rebecca! The key is to remember that you’re not just selling products – you’re selling a vision. You’re helping interior X create their dream spaces, and that’s a really powerful thing. Just focus on the benefits and the value that our products bring, and the sales will follow naturally.”
Rebecca nodded, taking mental notes. “That makes sense. And what about handling objections? I feel like that’s always the hardest part of the sales process for me.”
Terri leaned in. “Ah, objections are just opportunities in disguise! When a client raises an objection, it means they’re interested but have a concern. So, listen to their concern, address it directly, and then pivot back to the benefits. For example, if they say ‘this sofa is too expensive’, you could say ‘I understand that budget is a concern, but this sofa is actually an investment in their lifestyle. It’s built to last, and it will be the centerpiece of their living room for years to come’.”
Rebecca’s eyes widened. “Wow, that’s so simple but effective! Thank you, Terri, I couldn’t tell you could be so smart. I feel so much more confident now to tackle everything in my way both humans and all”
Terri grinned and laughed while shaking her head. “You are so helpless sometimes well anytime you feel like you need one or two ideas I gat you girl, Rebecca! Remember, sales is all about building relationships and trust with your clients. Just be yourself, be knowledgeable about our products, and always keep the client’s needs in mind. You got this!”
