In the last few weeks, things have calmed down somewhat. Denton is slowly coming to terms that his best friend and daughter are a couple. Alisa still won’t talk to Denton, but she will talk to Lilly and I. Denton has been sending gifts to Alisa left and right. Every time Lilly and I talk to Alisa, she tells us Denton needs to stop.
“You need to tell him to stop sending gifts. I don’t want anything from Denton. He made it perfectly clear where he stands.” Alisa says, throwing her hands in the air.
“You should give him another chance.” I tell her.
“Why should I? All he’s gonna do is break my heart all over again.”
“Alisa, you should…”
“No,” she hissed, “If he wants me, he knows where I live. Just tell him to stop sending things to me.”
“But…”
“You know what he sent last time?!
