Mama!

1023 Words
Jax. f*****g. Doyle. Standing in front of me was  the only boy I've ever loved, but he was no longer a boy. His once lean body was now packed with muscles. The dark brown shaggy hair I use to run my fingers through was now clean cut and styled to perfection. Long om the top and shorter on the sides, but still longing to be touched. The beard he never had was now medium length, and dark brown like his hair. All in all, the boy became a man. The only thing that remained the same, his eyes. Those crystal blue eyes that seemed to peer into my soul and ignite the fire that was lost all the years ago.   As if on cue, my body began to remember things that my mind had long forgot. The heat at my core grew, as did the moisture in between my legs. "I don't think Kita remembers me, Niko." He smirked while leaning against the counter. Cocky Motherfucker The fog I was under lifted as the anger from all those years washed over me like waves. The next thing I knew was I was walking towards him. SMACK! His head rolled to the side as my palm began to sting. "What the f**k Nikita!" Niko yelled, pulling me away. I didn't say anything else. What could I say? Turning on my heel and heading to my room. "What did you do man?" Niko asked, but I didn't hear the reply. He knows exactly what he did. Once in my room, I decided to focus my attention on getting ready for dinner with mom. I showered, shaved, and dried off within thirty minutes. I ran my blow dryer through my hair and placed my contacts in all before getting dressed. After trying on one too many outfits, I decided to go with a tank top, emerald green t shirt dress. It was nice enough, and more importantly, comfortable. I matched it with some white Adidas and a vintage white jean jacket that looked shredded in the back and some places on the shoulder. I let my hair be free, but grabbed a hair tie just in case. A little mascara and voilà, complete. I headed downstairs to look for Niko. When I seen Jax standing in the kitchen, but no Niko, I thought it best to wait outside. "Niko! I'll be by Darla!""Ok! Gimme maybe ten!"he returned. I turned to the door and felt Jax staring from the side. I glared at him and walked out the door. Niko came outside, looking ready for a party in a cobalt blue dress shirt with the sleeves rolled up. He had on a nice pair of jeans and his curly brown hair was gelled, making it look wet still. "Ready?" I nodded and we climbed into his truck. When we pulled up to mom's house, there were cars lined in the drive way. "I thought this was a dinner!" Niko laughed. "You know how the family is. You should have expected this." Yeah. Well. We walked into my mom's back yard. Almost all my family was here. Music playing through the speakers, Tio Angel throwing down on the grill, chairs placed sporadically around tables, people coming in and out of the house. It was crazy, but in a good way. I had been all by myself out in New York. I forgot how ot felt to be home. I missed this. Mom was sitting at a table with some of my Tias. When I walked up, she jumped up and wrapped her arms around me. "Aye! mi preciosa! My precious! You're home! Vente ya. Come. Let's eat." She pulled me to the table and made me sit. She placed a plate with carne asada in front of me before sitting next to me. "It's beem too long mi hija. Tell me, how's New York." "It's good mama. I live in an apartment. I have a few friends. I have a decent job. And I have a cat!" "A cat?" I nodded my head. She shook her head and went to stand. "Un gato. No necesitas un gato. Necesitas un hombre!" "Mama! I don't "need" a man." She laughed. "Si, a vibrator can't hold you at night. Nor a cat." And then she walked off. "Mama!" I squealed, making my tias laugh. Only my mother! I swear. She needs a man! I finished my food and went to stand to the side to observe my family. Niko came beside me and offered me a beer. "It's different huh?" I nodded my head. "But it's good Niko. I forgot what it felt like to be home. I don't really have anyone in New York. Just Ashley and Oso." I took a long sip out of the bottle and looked back to the party. "You can always come home Nikita. You always have a place here." I nodded my head. "I know." We stood their silently, finishing our beers. When he was done, he grabbed my arm and pulled me towards the crowd. "Come on. Let's get s**t faced and dance!" I barked out a laugh. After downing three more beers, followed by two shots of tequila, I was feeling pretty good. I was now in the middle of the yard, dancing with some dude. I think he's my mom's friend's son, but honestly I don't know. I just wanted to let loose for a while. "I'll be right back!"he yelled over the music. I laughed and nodded my head.  After five minutes I was beginning to think the guy had ditched me. Until i felt someone wrap their arms around my waist. "You have fun?" I asked. I felt the chest at my back vibrate has he chuckled. He grabbed my arm and spun me out, bringing me back into his chest. I looked up and realization set in when crystal blue eyes looked back at mine. I tried to pull away and walk away, but he grabbed my by my wrist and spun me back to him again. "Not until now" he grinned.
