Sort of Tears

Part 4

When Anna was sure that Sebastian wasn't looking, she unfolded the clothes and saw that it was a nurse's uniform. She gaped at the offending object in her hands and silently cursed Sebastian. She knew that her commander deliberately chose those clothes for her.

She grudgingly changed into the uniform and looked at Sebastian's back, "Do I look like stupid to you? I look like a white ladt in this clothes!"

"It's for your protection. Do you want to put yourself in danger again?" Sebastian turned around and raised an eyebrow at the pouting Lieutenant.

Anna rolled her eyes in annoyance, "What are we waiting for then? We need to go. The bomb will explode anytime and we will be exploding with it if we continue to stay here."

They were still inside the room. After making sure that Anna is ready, Sebastian moved towards the door and opened it slowly. He peeked outside to see if there are any terrorists walking around. After confirming that there was none, he once again closed the door and faced Anna.

"I'm your commander so listen to what I have to say," Sebastian started. "Pretend, don't make any stupid moves or thing of any stupid ideas. If you want to leave here alive, do your job properly, let me handle the other trivialities. Do you understand Lieutenant?" he added in a ccommading voice.

Anna grumbled and chose to ignore Sebastian. In her head, she thought that her ideas were not stupid.

"Stop that poker face and grumbling, Lieutenant. If you want to live, follow the plan as simple as that," said Sebastian.

Sebastian emphasized and let Anna understand the importance of what they would do because he wants them to survive. Anna finally relented and nodded to the commander's direction. She put her hands on the pocket on her clothes and looked straight at Sebastian.

"Yes, Commander. Copy." Anna gave a salute to Sebastian.

"Good," Sebastian said. "Now go, and be careful." He added as an afterthought.

"Yes, I'll be careful and you should too, Sebastian." Anna answered then she smiled.

Sebastian frowned, he wanted to protest but Anna was already out of the door. He really hated to be called by his second name.

Anna smirked after she got out of the room and she went on to pretend as a nurse. Nobody noticed that she was not one of them because of the disguise Sebastian made her wear.

"What happened to our men? Is there any plan for the next mission to our company?" Anna heard from one of the doors.

In order to hear the conversation clearer, Anna decided to put her ears nearer the door.

"We have the next plan but we have a problem. The special military forces, have located our headquarters already," a voice from the inside of the room said.

"I can handle them, let us just do what we should do. The other country also planned to be here to help this country and kill us all, but I won't let that happen. Let them fall on my trap," she heard a laughter.

Anna looked at her watch and saw that they only have a few minutes before the bomb goes off.

She softly spoke on the communication device in her ear to contact Sebastian. "Commander? This is Lieutenant Anna Sylvain, can you hear me?"

She slowly moved towards a dark room and hid to avoid any terrorists discovering her.

"Thank you, for your trust," Anna took a peek and was shocked at ehat she saw.

She saw the their president and by the looks of it he was one of the comspirators. She clenched her fists and gritted her teeth in anger.

She didn't expect that that their own president would betray his own country and people. He was supposed to protect and uphold the values of his people and country.

"You're welcome President Callaw. I won't dissapoint," the leader of the terrorists assured. The President nodded and smiled an evil smile. Anna sent a glare towards the President because of the anger she was feeling. She can't believe that all of this was happening because of their President.

After the voices faded, she looked around and silently followed them. When she got the chance and saw that he was now alone, she didn't think twice in attacking the President. Even with her body, she packed quite a punch and kicm that sent the President sprawled on the floor.

"Anna!" she heard a voice called out to her. She saw Sebastian who immediately helped the President back to his feet.

"He's a traitor! He already ruined his own home!" she angrily shouted.

She doesn't want to see or even acknowledge a leader who is willing to see his own people suffer. He was not suited as the highest authority o

In any place at all because he will be the downfall of their country.

"He's one of us, he is currently an undercover agent for us. He's the source of all the information we have thus far and he is still trying to give us more information. The president has no choice because his family was taken by those terrorist," Sebastian explained.

Anna was perplexed at the revelation and she relaxed a little bit after the explanation.

"It's okay, I understand. Please, save our country because I don't have the power to help them. They are holding me on my neck," the President pleaded.

Anna and Sebastian shared a look. She thought all of her life that people who are in the position should be the one to fight because thay have the power and means to do so but reality will slap you with the truth. Most of them were cowards, they would run with their tails in between their legs at the first signs of threat.

"You're a president, but you're acting like a kicked puppy," Anna sneered in contempt.

She doesn't care even if she is infront of someone in a higher position. If she do not like that person then she will not think twice to show and say her dislike. She will not hesitate to use her sharp tongue.

"Maybe you're right, I'm afraid. I don't deserv to be the president," the President weakly answered.

"President Callaw, help us save this country. If we need to give our lives, we're willing to give our lives for this country and for our home also," Sebastian interjected.

A spark of hope appeared in the Ptesident's eyes, "I am happy that there are people like you fighting for our country."

"We can fight, if the President will also come out to fight," Anna exclaimed.

A noise alerted them of incoming people. They assume their roles and pretended to help the President.

"Be careful, the leader already knows about the mission, any minute now they will find you two," the President whispered.

"We need to protect you, sir," Sebastian answered.

"You don't need to protect me, finish the mission and protect our people." The President shook his head and smiled at them.

"We already did." Anna took a deep breathe and slowly turned her back on them.

She wanted to continue the plan she had in her mind previously because she knew that it is the only possible way for them to defeat the terrorists. There was no other way.

"Where are you going, Lieutenant?" Sebastian's face was full of confusion at Anna's actions.

Anna just smiled. "I'll do my job, as a Lieutenant. Can I hear your voice again, I want to hear you call my whole name again."

Sebastain's forehead wrinkled at the strange request from his Lieutenant. "Why?"

"Because, I'm afraid that I won't be able to hear your voice again," Anna answered and her smile turned bitter.

A life will only be saved with a sacrifice.
