"HI!" gulat na paglapit ni Zoe kay Luis. Yumakap siya dito. "What are you doing here?"
Ngumiti lamang ang lalake sa kaniya pero bago pa ito makasagot ay tinawag na ito ng daddy niya. Pumasok ito at naiwan siya sa kaniyang mama. Napataas ang mga kilay niya sa pagtatanong at natatawang nangiti ang mama niya. Her mom squeezes her chin playfully before going to the dining area.
"I really thought you wouldn't come," sabi nito kay Luis. "Have a seat."
Bumalik na si Zoe sa tabi ni Jet at naupo silang dalawa. I'll explain later, sabi ng mga mata niya dito.
"I thought so too, but on the last minute my dad wanted to spend Thanksgiving in New York and flew there this morning," sagot ni Luis. "I'm sorry for coming in unannounced."
