Forbidden Desires

Mia is so excited about the beginning of her college life in 3 days. She gives her best friend Emma a call letting her know how excited she is about her first day at her dream University College. Emma invited Mia to come over to their house for dinner so that they could talk more and have a drink. Mia agreed, and she immediately went to Emma’s house. When Mia arrived, Emma welcomed her and they had a delicious dinner. After eating dinner, they sat on the sofa to have a drink. “So bestie… Why are you so excited about your new school?” Emma asked while shaking her glass. Mia slowly shrugged her shoulders and said, “I feel so excited and kinda nervous at the same time because, you know, I'm finally going to the University College that I have always dreamed of.” Mia paused for a moment and spoke again. “Uhm Emma, I don’t know why I'm having this very strange feeling of nervousness.” “Mhm… That’s strange! Maybe you’re going to meet a cute and hot guy there, and you’ll secretly go out with him haha!” Emma jokingly said. Mia laughed and answered, “What the heck are you talking about? I'm already taken silly!” “Hmm… Who knows?” Emma replied as she gave Mia a teasing smile. 4 hours passed, it was very late and Mia was about to leave. “Thanks for inviting me over to your house, bestie. I ate a lot, and I was so overwhelmed tonight.” Mia said as she gave Emma a big tight hug. “No problem bestie. Looking forward to doing it again. Be careful on your way home and let me know once you reach home,” Emma answered. Mia got home safely and fast-forward to the very big day of Mia. Her first day of school in college. Mia was so prepared for this day, and she even dolled herself up. As she walked through the crowd, everyone was staring at her like she was a celebrity. As she continued to walk to the stairs and to the hallways, everyone’s eyes continued to follow her. As she entered the classroom, everyone stopped and stared at her for a while. They were all mesmerized by Mia’s beauty and looks. Later on, while Mia was busy looking for a vacant seat to comfortably sit on, the moment she looked up to look at her classmates, Mia suddenly paused because she saw a cute and effortlessly handsome guy sitting in the back row. He immediately caught her attention and she couldn’t get her eyes off him. The whole day at school, she was so distracted about the cute guy at the back. She kept wondering who he was until she knew that his name was Eric. Eric Johnson. Since she knew his name, Mia couldn’t get his name out of her head and also the flashbacks to where their eyes met. When Mia got home, she excitedly told Emma about her big day. (Phone Ringing…) “Bestieeeee!” Mia excitedly said on the phone. “Oh hey, what’s up? How was your first day?” Emma asked. “It was great!” Mia yelled out of excitement. “Omg girl! I can say that you seem to be so inspired. I can tell by the tone of your voice,” Emma replied. “W-well… Uhm… Hehe!” Mia stuttered and chuckled. “Spit it out girl!” Emma said. “Can you guess it? Hehe!” Mia replied in a nervous tone and chuckled again. “Holy cow bestie! Is it what I think it is?! Am I right about everything that I said the night you came over to my house?! Yieeeee! Tell me about him!” Emma excitedly asks Mia about it. Mia replied and chuckled. “Chill bestie! You’re an official fortune-teller now.” Mia told Emma everything that had happened at school, and she couldn’t stop talking about Eric. Not until their conversation on the phone got interrupted because Mia’s boyfriend, Nathan, called. Mia ended her phone call conversation with Emma so that she could pick up her boyfriend’s call. “Hey my love… How are you?” Mia asked Nathan. “Hey! What took you so long to pick up my call? I was worried about you. I feel so good now that I'm talking to you. How are you, my love? How was your first day of school?” Nathan excitedly talks to his girlfriend on a video call. “Well… Uhm.. I.. Uh… My first day went well… It was great! I met someo- oh, uh, I-I met some new friends and yeah…” Mia nervously answered as she almost slipped her tongue to mention this cute guy, Eric. “Are you okay, my love? Why is your face so red? You look like a tomato haha!” Nathan said as he was teasing Mia. Mia chuckled nervously and answered, “Oh, me? Yeah! I'm good. Just exhausted today. Don’t mind my face turning red. I uhm, I'm just happy to see you.” Their conversation continued, but Mia couldn’t pay attention to what they were talking about. “So that’s what happened earlier and-... My love, are you listening to me? My love?” Nathan asked as he noticed his girlfriend not paying any attention while he was talking. “Huh? Oh, yeah! I'm listening… Sorry my love, I-I couldn’t pay attention much. I'm just quite exhausted today. Hope you understand. Let’s talk again soon.” Mia answered coldly. “Oh okay. I understand. Sorry, I wasn’t thinking that you were exhausted. Get some rest now, my love. Talk to you again soon. I love you so much!” Nathan said. “I love you more.” Mia whispered. “I love you most, and I miss you so-” Mia hung up the call without letting Nathan finish what he was saying. 5 months later, Mia began to turn cold towards Nathan as her feelings for Eric grew deeper and deeper. Without knowing, Eric also feels the same way about Mia.
