My Mate

My very first assignment while working with the council was to visit the Blackheart Pack in New Jersey. Not only was that a large pack of very skilled warriors, it was also a pack known to allow other supernatural beings to reside within its boarders. The result from that is a large number of young hybrids that are newly shifting within the pack.

As soon as the car pulled up to the packboard, my wolf senses started going off.

"Sierra, what is the matter?" I asked.

"You don't feel it? How can you not feel it? Something big is about to happen. Huge! Ginormous! Immense! Mammoth!" She says, pacing in my head, driving me crazy. I'm anxious and don't even know why. I pull out my makeup compact and start fixing my makeup. I check my outfit. Go over my paperwork. Why am I so nervous?

"Miss. Collette, we have arrived." I heard Jimmy the driver say as he opened my door. I stepped out of the vehicle, reaching for his hand that he had out to assist me, and was amazed at the beautiful big packhouse in front of me. Total black exterior with some rustic wood trim.

"Alexandria Collette. It is a pleasure meeting. I look forward to working with you on the project for the council. I am Alpha Ken Blackhart. This is my Luna Bianca. Besides her is our Beta Garrett, who I believe you've met, and his mate, Gianna." Alpha Ken introduces.

"It's nice meeting you all. Beta, it's nice seeing you again." I said, shaking everyone's hands.

"The Alpha is a lycan and Luna is a wolf. Beta is a wolf but I think the Beta female is some sort of hybrid." Sierra analyzed, still full of energy.

"Let us go to my conference room and so we can discuss some precautions for this full moon shift. My son, our Gamma and Delta's should be joining us shortly." Alpha Ken says, as he escorts me into the packhouse.

"Sierra, if you don't calm down I'm going to have to put a block up."I warned my overly hyper wolf.

"No, it's going to happen soon. I can feel it." She replies, still walking in circles.

" I don't even know what it is. Please calm down, you're making me nervous. I have an important meeting now."

"Fine. I will try."

"Thank you."

We walked into the conference room and Alpha Ken asked for refreshments to be brought while we waited for the others to join us.

"Lexi, it's been what, seven years since I met you at the Sycamore Falls Pack? How have things been?" Beta Garrett asked.

"To be honest, it's been rough. My brother is one of the wolves that is missing. That initially was my reasoning for doing the research that brought me to this point. It has been one of the factors that has driven me to challenge myself and train so that I can not only find him but prevent this from happening to anyone else." I explained.

"I'm sorry to hear about your brother being missing. If I remember correctly, you two were very close. He was like your body guard." He said, causing me to laugh thinking about how he stood like a barrier for the Beta when we first met.

"Yes, he was my protector, making sure all the guys he thought were unworthy of being my mate stayed away from me." I said, smiling at the memory.

"Speaking of. Have you found your mate? Will he be joining you?" asked Gianna.

"No. I haven't met my mate yet. I've honestly been so preoccupied with work and looking for my brother I haven't even given having a mate a thought." I replied.

"Oh. Well, I'm excited to have an opportunity to work with you. Garrett said you came from the hybrid academy. My mom is a hybrid. I didn't inherit any abilities outside of being a wolf, but I've heard you have some from both parents. I'm so excited to hear how you plan on helping the pack," she sincerely said as a few people entered the room.

"Lexi, this Gamma Noah and our Deltas James and Sam. Guys, where is Andre?" Alpha asked.

The Gamma replied, "He is on his way."

" OK well, let's begin and he can get caught up as he comes. Everyone this is Alexandria Collette. She is here in representation of the council and has experience as one of the lead trainers in the Hybrid Academy. As many of you know, we have a large number of young hybrids that this full moon will expose their abilities. There have been many reports all around the US of attacks that have been happening during the full moon shifts. Our pack has not experienced an attack yet but we were asked to work with Lexi on a protection plan. It will not only protect our pack but serve as a model for protection of other smaller packs. You all, as well as my son, have been in charge of the pack training and have been going to help with smaller packs, so your input is important for this to be a success. Any questions?' Alpha asked.

"Yes. I just don't understand the difference between these attacks and other rogue attacks and why do you feel the hybrid young people are at a higher risk than others." Asked Delta Sam.

"That is a good question. I've experienced an attack first hand on my pack. There were the normal rogues but there were also mutated creatures. I have been traveling around training young hybrids at different conventions and have had reports of the same creatures being seen in their packs at the time of their first shift as well. I have copies of statements from Alpha's representing various packs and also reports of the findings from the council in regards to this investigation. Of course, these reports are missing classified information but show enough to let you know that a protection plan needs to be developed immediately." I say as I hand out the copies of the documents to everyone in the room.

"Sierra, I'm going to have to block you." I tell my wolf that's doing summersaults in my head.

"No! He's here. He's nearby. I feel him. I smell him." She says, now dancing.

"Wait,I feel it too... No, no, no, no this isn't the right time." as I was engulfed in the scent of citrus, amber notes and cedarwood. I'm frozen in place, standing next to the open chair next to Alpha Ken. I hear talking but my attention is to the door that is beginning to open.

In walks the most beautiful man I've seen in life. A 6'4" caramel-complected, very defined man walked in with his hazel eyes locked on me.

"Mate. Mate. Mate." Sierra says over and over again in my head.

"Hello Andre. Nice of you to finally join us," Alpha Ken says.

"Hello father. Good afternoon everyone." He says as he walks up to me so poised. I'm a mess, still frozen in place taking in the sight of this beautiful man that is my mate. He walked up kisses my hand, then wraps his arm around my waist and says, "Hello my beautiful mate. What is your name?"

"I'm ugh... I'm Alexandria. I mean Lexi. No, you can call me Lexi. Well, unless you like Alexandria, then you can call me that if you want" I stumbled, saying.

"Hello Lexi. I'm Andre. You really are beautiful." He says, pulling me on to his lap as he sits next to his father. "Lexi." He whispered as he tilt my chin up and capture my mouth in a passionate kiss.

"Did he just say MATE!" Luna Bianca says, jumping up out of her seat.

"Son, did you just say she's your MATE? You finally found your mate? Lexi is your MATE!" Alpha Ken says enthusiastically.

Andre lets up on the kiss and looks at his parents and says, "Yes. This is my mate."

I found my mate at the most unexpected time in the most unexpected way. I couldn't believe it. This 6'4"-Carmel-complected, hazel-eyed, slim-muscular-built man with perfectly styled locks was mine all MINE.

The rest of the meeting went by in a blur. My mate moved my belongings relocated out of my guest suite so I could be with him while we went to a small dining room while we had a small celebratory dinner with his family. Although very composed, Andre couldn't seem to be able to keep his hands off of me. The eruptions of tingles on my legs and arms caused a drawing of me to him from the mate bond that made it hard to concentrate on anything else.

"We need to mate with our mate now," Sierra forcefully said.

"We will when the time is right. He doesn't seem like he will reject us. This pack seems accepting of all kinds. I have a feeling we may just end up marked and mated tonight with how his hands keep traveling all over. Just not here at the dinner table."

"We need to leave the table. I want him and his wolf is calling out to me." She whined as I pushed her back. It's hard enough trying to enjoy the conversation with his hand on my leg.

"I've enjoyed this dinner but my mate has been going all day. I think it's time to retire to our home so I can draw her a nice bath and we can get better acquainted." Andre stood up and held his hand out to assist me. "Come dear, I will show you to our cabin." He said as I followed him out.

"Oh, I thought you were moving my things to another room here." I confessed.

"No, I am not serving as the Alpha yet. I do have a room in my parents' wing, but we need our own space. I think you will like it." He says, leading me to a neon green Dodge Viper. "Our home isn't far from here. We're just closer to the front boarders, so I will have faster access there if needed." He says before starting his car. I buckled my seatbelt as he zoomed off down the road. " Here we are, my dear. Home sweet home."

The cabin doesn't look like I expected. Where the majority of the pack is black or darker colors, Andre's cabin is made of a lighter colored wood and inside has a lot of bright colors.

"Oh, your place is very colorful," I said.

"Our place" he corrected. "All that black is sheik but can be depressing. I can't wait to get appointed Alpha so I can change things." He said, taking my hand to lead me upstairs. "I hope you don't mind, I called someone here to help prepare you for tonight."

"Prepare us. Oh no, I hope he's not expecting us to be pure. I hope he won't reject us once he finds out." Sierra whimpers.

"Breathe, we'll be okay. Let's find out what he means first", I tried to reassure her although I was nervous as well.

"Don't worry with a body like that, I don't expect you to be inexperienced. I hope you are not actually. I plan on ravishing your body often and just want to make sure you are ready for everything I'd like to do. You know, making sure my plate is completely clean before I devour my main course." He strokes my face, lustfully looking at me with his now golden eyes, "goddess you are beautiful."

"What's his name? Your wolf." I asked

"Onyx, and he's no ordinary wolf. He's practically a Lycan and seems to have quite an appetite for our little mate." He says, licking his bottom lip sensually. "Heidi, are you ready for my Luna? I know, you know what I like." He says, as a petite brunette opens the door.

"Yes, of course I know what you like very well." She replies, batting her eyelashes seductively.

"What! How well does she know what you like?" I turned to look at my mate. I don't know who this chick is, but I'm not feeling her.

"Doesn't matter. You are the one chosen for me. My wolf yearns for you. You will be my perfection despite being some kind of hybrid blend. From what I understand, you've excelled well in your training and, by my side, we will have the most powerful pack. Heidi, you will only address me in a professional manner from this point forward. This is my mate. Give her the full treatment pamper and prep her body so she can be sent to me for her happy ending." He instructed.

Heidi has a jacuzzi bath filled for me with essential oils that I'm instructed to soak in as she takes apart my ponytail to do a hot oil scalp massage. I'm then taken to get my hair washed and deep conditioned while two other females come in and start with a manicure and pedicure. Next, my hair was rinsed and styled, I was fully waxed, received a full body massage, made up and dressed in very provocative red lingerie.

"Alpha Andre will be very pleased. He is right. You are much more beautiful than any other he has brought home. Are you really his chosen mate?" Heidi asks.

"I'm his destined mate. What do you mean others? How many others?" I asked, feeling my jealousy starting to stir again and I know my aura is coming out. I can tell by the way the ladies are starting to bare their heads and trembling.

"No other anymore, Luna. I'm sorry for upsetting you. If I may. I will take my leave. I will be back tomorrow as instructed to sooth any discomfort you may have." Heidi says, showing full submissions.

"You all may leave. I need to talk to my mate." I said, walking out of the room and down the hall towards where my mate's scent was. I knocked on the door as it was pulled open.

"Why are you knocking on the door to your own room? Your aura. Who made you mad? Do you want them killed? Banished? Just say and I'll do it. Did the wax hurt you? Was it too hot?" Andre asked, concerned.

"No, no. I just don't like the idea of females having such access to you," I explained.

"Oh well that an easy fix. My dad has contacted your alpha and the council. You will now be here with me. We will be living, training together, eating together. I even plan to bring you with me if I need to travel. Everyone will know that you are my mate. Now I think I've overdone things here. I didn't know what kind of flowers you liked, so I got every kind I could think of sent here while you were getting pampered." He says, showing me the room.

I have never been big on flowers, but our room looks like a beautiful garden and, so colorful, just like the rest of the house.

"It's beautiful, thank you." I said, walking over to look at the different bouquets.

"These flowers have nothing on you, my dear." He says, closing the door. He goes to the middle of his king-sized bed and opens his robe, revealing his beautiful naked body. "Lexi, you are so sexy. Please don't make me wait to have you." He says, stroking his shaft. I involuntarily licked my lips, watching him. "Beautiful I'm yours, you don't have to hesitate. I need you here touching me. Please come here." He said.

I walked over, climbed onto the bed and straddled his lap so I could look him into the eyes and say, "I wasn't hesitating. I was just taking in the sight."

He pulls me into his chest and begins peppering soft kisses on my jaw and starts working down my neck, removing the garment straps from my shoulders. The sparks erupting from the contact are driving Sierra wild in my head.

"I don't want this on you anymore. I need to see all of you." He says before unzipping the lingerie, removing it and rolling so I am on my back. He claps twice and the lights dim. "Oh baby look at the juices flowing already for me. You smell Devine. I wonder how many ways I can make you climax. Are you ready to find out?" he asked as his fingers stroked my folds.

"Yes." I moaned as he inserted two fingers rubbing in a circular motion and kissed his way up my leg. By the time his mouth reached my core, he had already caused my first eruption.

"One" he said as he lapped up my juices.
