Bad News is Better Than no News
Lacey almost strutted down the street. She was in very high spirits and smiled at everything she saw. That lasted for only a couple of blocks, right up until she saw Jeff. She was about to cross the street anyway. She was headed for the Anvil to invite Louis to coffee. She had grown fond of his company and felt he would be useful to set Aggie at ease. She wanted to get to know Aggie. Not because she had any real set plans, but because Aggie was part and parcel with Talon. Talon was a friend she meant to keep at all costs.
