Problem Solved
Sunday morning came with a clear sky and warm air. Lacey could see the river from the window in her room. She was still tired and felt a little cold. It had been a long night, and she hadn’t slept. She sat on her bed Indian-fashion and held a cup of coffee in both hands.
She hated herself for what she had had to do, but it was done and there was no going back, even if she wanted to. She lowered her head and let her long blond hair hide her in that safe little closet she knew so well.
Then she cried again. She knew she needed to get hold of her emotions, but it was nearly impossible. She kept telling herself it was over now. He was gone, and she still had her life to live.
