The Last Tree

A meteor fast approaches the earth. But it is not the earth we know it as today. No, this earth was dry, no water or life. With the meteor comes the first rain. It's fragments sprinkling down water and stone. It's magic brings the first storm, which makes the first puddle, that soon spreads to much of the earth. Making islands from what was once one land, now there are many. And life blossomed into this world like it has always been there. Soon there was plants and animals, which turned to forests and nations. Trees were given the fragments from the meteor. The protectors of life. And since they were so busy protecting everything else, humans decided to protect these special trees. Worshiping the very ground they rooted in. Making sure they stayed safe. But when all seemed at peace the very thing that protected these trees was also their down fall. A single man will be the destruction of all of these life giving trees, just so he can use these stones from the meteor as a weapon. Because that which gave us life in the first place can also take it away. This horrid man wants that power. Atomic bombs destroy the first tree and all the oceans. Then one after the other they drop to the man, until the last tree. The start of his down fall began with his first tree and will end with the last.
