In the kingdom of Bloodhaven nestled along the coastline, there lies a city like no other. A place where the sun seldom shines and the night always seems to cloak the scenery eternally. Ravenstone, they call it a name that echoes with darkness, intrigue and foreboding. For centuries, this port city has been a haven for the lost, desperate and the wicked and the occasional misguided tourist who didn’t know any better. It’s cobbled paved streets and narrow dimly lit desolate alleys were the perfect playground for aspiring thieves and rogues and all manner of unsavoury characters. It’s here in Ravenstone you soon realise that morality and good virtues are a luxury few can afford. For  many residents’ crime and nefarious activities are the only way to get by. It was a place where the saying “ trust no one “ wasn’t just a warning it was a way of life. In fact the only thing you could really trust in this city was that you couldn’t trust anyone – not even yourself after a night on the industrial strength ale brewed at the local watering holes and dens. The City’s skyline is dominated by towering spires and ancient fortifications, all which cast long shadows over the twisted lanes, shades and squalid slums below. The scent of saltwater, alcohol and sewage permeate the air, mingling with the stench of rotten flesh and spilled blood. Despite it’s reputation of hostility and being renowned for being a den of iniquity. Ravenstone is a place or opportunity for those who are brave or inquisitive enough to seek it. Merchants and travellers from lands afar pilgrimage in search of adventure, custom and rare illicit goods. Take a tour of the Docks and you will see a den of smugglers and pirates meticulously utilising the harbour for a base of operations.  Importing and exporting a myriad of goods and keeping the gangs of Ravenstone well serviced with rations and supplies.  If you are here for a visit exercise caution even better invest in some form of armour. For Ravenstone is not a place for the faint of heart. The city’s rulers and officials are just as likely to rob you blind as they are to offer you protection. The streets and inhabitants have a way of transforming individuals and not for the better. Even the most well-intentioned traveller can find themselves caught up in a web of deceit and treachery.  As the moon rises over Ravenstone and the sounds of raucous revelry echo through the streets, one thing is certain: those who enter this dark and dangerous city do so at their own peril.
