Chapter 6 Sam For the rest of the school day, I saw nothing more of the KINGS. I gave up eating in the cafeteria and preferred to take my lunch at home. That was one of the few advantages of living on school grounds. When I unlocked the door to our little house after school, my dad was already home. He sat on the couch in the living room with a glass of alcohol, probably whiskey, in his hand. This was unusual.
