Cassie and Malekai were half dozing on the couch with the television on, watching a werewolf movie they found laughable even though it was a horror flick. They had gorged themselves on the delicacies that Angela had brought them earlier and were content in every way. A sudden mind link from one of the scouts made them both jerk wide awake.
“We have an intruder in the pack. We are near the southern border. He says he is from the Moon Valley Pack and is seeking asylum,” Kurt informed them.
“Bring him to city hall. We will be waiting for you there,” Malekai replied as he and Cassie hurried to get dressed and meet them.
