It was 4 p.m. as the group waited in Malekai’s office for Alpha James to arrive with Garrette’s mate, Ruby. As a precaution, Emily, Jax, Kurt, and Mark joined the four ranking members to wait for Ruby and Alpha James. They did not know what state Ruby would be in mentally or physically due to her pregnancy and what she had been through.
