Hot tempered Lyanna
Bang...Lyanna slammed the desk catching everyone's attention.
"Uhhm... is there an issue Miss Dante?" The director asked.
"It's been over an hour, Director. when is this Mr whatever going to show up? Because I'm sure as hell that everyone present here, f**k that; I... have something more important to do rather than sitting down here waiting for some mysterious figure, who obviously is really time conscious," she said sarcastically in one breath.
Esther tugged at her clothes, "sit down."
"Stop that," lyanna mouthed back.
Other staff looked at lyanna like she had suddenly grown two heads. Everywhere went completely silent, waiting for the Director's response. Everyone knew how principled Mr Anderson, the director was.
The director squinted his eyes directly at her. "Miss lyanna, I suppose you aren't the only one here."
"Unfortunately sir, I think I'm."
"Huh..." Others gasped.
"You should learn to watch what comes out of your mouth," chubby, one of the staff warned. Chubby never liked her. Her fierce personality makes it difficult for them to be in the same space.
Lyanna glared at her, "And who is talking?" It came as more of a statement than a question.
Chubby became livid, "you!"
"Enough both of you!" The director warned. "Everyone settle down. I would implore you to be a bit patient. And you, stop causing trouble." He warned, exasperated from her attitude.
She was never like this. Mr Anderson sighed with a heavy heart as he remembered the old bubbly lyanna. Everything changed when she lost her parents. She became more fierce and hot tempered.
All of it was just an exterior to mask her pain. After she was done with her university he literally had to plead with her to come back to her hometown. For her, this place was a nightmare. The land that took her source of joy.
Esther, Lyanna only friend In the institution pulled her closer. "What happened?"
"Nothing significant," she tried to brush off the topic.
"Ahh-ha! There's something. Spill it." Esther said.
"Well...," her mind wandered back to two hours earlier.
"No...no...no! This shouldn't be happening today. I'm late already," she murmured as a car splashed dirty water all over her clothes.
Hand frozen in the air, she slowly opened her squinted eyes staring wide eyed at the car in front of her.
"You've got to be kidding me." She uttered looking at her white gown now brown from the dirty water.
At that moment, she noticed the culprit are still inside the car. "Hey are you blind?" She yelled, walking up to the car, hitting the car shield hard!
"What's with all these rich people, If you aren't going to apologize- why stop?" She thought—pissed.
Meanwhile, Xuf, the CEO of Maldregazelm organization was on a phone call when he noticed the car has stopped. A frown quickly etched on his face.
"Why did you stop?" He asked.
"Sir... I splashed dirty water on someone," Liam said.
"Go settle her," he dismissed him.
Liam immediately got out of the car without wasting a second. "Ma'am, we are so sorry for the inconvenience.....
She cut him short. "Hold it! You do know how to apologize , huh? Why didn't you come out sooner? Ohh...wait , let me answer that for you; you're feeling mighty.
"I'm so sorry ma'am." Liam apologized again.
"You..."
On the other hand, Xuf saw Liam and the lady still arguing, so he decided to intervene himself. He rolled his car shield and stared at her unapologetically.
"Oh! Look at the mighty boss, isn't it?"
"Here," Xuf said bringing out some cash. "This should do." He thought, after all money solved everything. For him money wasn't something incredible.
She scoffed, "You think it's about money?"
He furrowed his brows, "Then what is it about?" He asked.
She couldn't believe her ears.
"Really huh," she shook her head but took the money from him.
He smirked as he roll up his car shield ready to leave but before could, he was interrupted...
"Tsk...tsk...tsk...Not so fast honey."
"Need more?" Xuf asked impatiently.
"You forgot one little thing," she said, then moved one step closer to the car, tore the cash into pieces and threw it to his face.
"Asshole," she cursed under her breath raising her middle finger to his face.
His eye darkened immediately. Before he could say a word she walked away.
He remained speechless for a second before chuckling sinisterly. "Let's go."
Liam glanced at his boss through the mirror, although the laugh wasn't directed at him, sweat still trickled down his back.
He readjusted his seatbelt and rearview mirror before speeding away.
One hour later, she arrived at West Wing Academy, Where she lectures.
Dressed in blue jean and white tank top, one might actually mistake her for a student. Her petite nature contributed greatly to that. But she is quite young herself; she graduated from college at an early age and finished university at the age of nineteen. By twenty she started working at wingman academy. It's been two years now.
As she walked down the empty hall, she muttered, "s**t, I'm so f*****g late."
With a hurried footsteps she finally got to the staff room where a meeting is presently being held. She took a deep breath then opened the door and walked in head high.
All eyes turned to her immediately yet she ignored them and turned to the director of the business sector department; "pardon me for being late director, something came up."
The director glared at her before reluctantly reducing the intensity of his gaze.
"That shouldn't be an excuse."
"It won't happen again sir," she apologized.
The director glared at her, without uttering a single word.
Cough ...cough...cough... "Can I take my sit now director?" she asked making cute faces at him.
Director sighed, "you may. "This should be the last time you give such excuses." He warned, letting her off.
Other staff murmured especiallychubby who's voice was particularly louder than the rest. She smiled sweetly to the director but the moment she turned her back to him, the smile vanished, replaced by a glare.
She glared at everyone of them before getting to her seat, shutting them up.
"Really?" Esther said.
She smirked slightly taking her seat, "Really."
"Whoa! He must be something, leaving the hot tempered Lyanna speechless," Esther teased breaking her train of thoughts.
Esther chuckled lightly.
"Ladies, attention please." Director motioned for them to keep quiet.
Just then the door of the hall busted open, a strong powerful footstep echoed. Everyone's attention was re directed and at that moment their eyes met.
"You," Lyanna called out in shock.
