A Snowy Wish

Kim Taehee 25, 06:00 a.m. I woke up by the sound of my alarm, immediately sitting and turning the small flat screen tv right in front of me on. My eyes kept closing as I was still sleepy but the announcement of the weather anchor had woken me up. "The first snow of the year, it's finally tomorrow!" I squealed out of joy and jumped into my bed causing my pillows to fall on the cold floor. The hot water isn't working. What a great way to start my morning. "It's alright, the first snow is tomorrow night, calm yourself Taehee." I somehow managed to finish showering using hot water but another obstacle has come forth. "Ha! seriously, I woke up early how am I already running late." I said as I hurried clothing myself, slamming the door and ran as fast as I can to the nearest subway until I bumped into a man and spilling the coffee that I brewed this morning onto his coat, damn it. "I'm really sorry sir, uhm here's the money for the laundry. I'm really sorry I'm running late I nee to go, once again I'm sorry!" I heard him yell as I ran and thank the heavens the train is still there, even so I'm still late. -_- Kim Taehee 25, 07:15 a.m. The first snow is the most awaited event in my entire life, besides payday of course. When I was young, my grandmother from Daegu told me that if I stand from a very high place while watching the first snow of the year fall from above, I might be one among the luckiest person who will be granted one special wish from the snow. But I often find myself staring at the sky, couldn't think of a wish. I spent years of thinking what I should really wish for, what should I use my wish for? What is it that I truly want or need? there was never a year that I didn't ask myself that question. What is my wish? It lingers my head every single day that I even have a list of what I should and shouldn't wish for. I'm thinking about it way too much despite knowing that there's no guarantee that I'm that lucky person that will be granted a special wish from the snow. Kim Taehee 25, 08:00 a.m. "Kim Taehee, you're late!" my friend, Park Jihye said as she took a sip of her coffee. "I know, I know there's no need to slap it on my face. and besides PD-nim isn't here yet so I'm safe." I sat down and turned on my computer. She gave me a judging look and continued drinking her coffee while munching on her croissant. Jihye is my soulmate. We're both 97 liners, she's older than me just by a few months so she told me there's no need for me to call her with honorifics and just be casual around her. We studied at the same high school together, graduated, then college, graduated then here we're working at Wonder Entertainment a film production company. "Taehee-ssi, Mr. Seokbaek is calling you in his office" one of our co-workers named Sohee said as she was fixing the papers that she probably got from PD. "You're dead meat Taehee-ah." Jihye teased me as I stood up from my desk and went to Mr. Seokbaek's office. Kim Taehee 25, 08:37 a.m. "Sir?" I called as I knocked at the door. "Taehee-ssi, please come in." I went inside and greeted him. He offered me a sit near a table in front of him. "Taehee-ssi how about taking on a step further into the film production? What do you think about writing for a drama?" I gasp and stood up. I thought I was going to get scolded, but no. All of the pain that I wen through this morning is totally worth it. Thank you snow, thank you world, thank you universe. "PD- nim Of-" before I even got a chance to reply a man spoke "Cousin I'm sorry I'm late, some woman spilled coffee on my coat and- YOU!?" ah s**t. That's him, the guy from earlier. "Jungwoo do you know each other?" Mr. Seokbaek looked at me then him with confused eyes. "NO" "YES" we both answered in unison him clearly stating yes while gritting his teeth and damn his jaw can cut me why you mad fix your face bro I paid for your laundry. I looked at Mr. Seokbaek once again to avoid the tension. "Anyways I don't know what's going on between you two but that's clearly none of my business. Taehee-ssi, please meet Jeon Jungwoo my cousin who is also the vice president and co-producer of Wonder Entertainment. He's the one you're going to work with for this upcoming drama." I slowly looked at him giving him my best smile hoping that he would let the coffee incident slide. I reached my hand out and said "I look forward working with you Jungwoo PD-nim." His gaze was so sharp it can literally cut through my skin damn chill good sir. "I hope you don't spill anymore coffee in the future" he said and left while slamming the door. I'm doomed.
