Chapter 12 Harry made it about twenty metres before Lucas tackled him from behind and sent them both sprawling. There was a loud crack when they hit the dirt and Annie prayed that it was only a stick. The sound of a fist hitting flesh was less ambiguous. ‘Stop, Lucas! Leave him alone. It wasn’t his fault. I asked him to do it.
