Iris POV : As I run through the field I feel the cool air of the night on my face which gives me a sense of ease and peace.My thoughts are clear and focused and I feel completely limitless. My name is Iris and I am the most power demigoddess to ever exist.I have a twin sister, Aria, who is not so fond of me because of the strength I have compared to hers. We are the only daughters of king Edward and Queen Lillian, my father and mother, who rule over the kingdom of Merizona. As the only daughters of the king and Queen, we undergo special training that will shape us into the warriors we're meant to be. The training is ten times harder than the normal training for our royal soldiers, but it's nothing we can't handle. We are growing stronger by the day and I can also sense my powers getting stronger. I can shape-shift into any being I land my eyes on and I can manipulate natural elements such as water and fire. Because of this I get more training so that I learn how to control my powers,but Aria's hatred grows stronger as she sees me become stronger. She feels like I am using my power to get to our parents and our people so that I could be made queen, but truly I really want to live a simple life. "you know,you should really learn how to stay focused. " Norman says as I'm brought out of my thoughts. I smile as I jog up to him and give him a hug. Norman has been my friend from a very young age and is the one responsible for my training schedule. He is always there for me and I appreciate having a good friend like him. "I got your message and you said you wanted to tell me something. "I chuckled. "straight to the point huh?" He nods with a smile of his own. "I am leaving Merizona." he stiffens besides me and silence follows.I decide to continue speaking. "I'm doing this for the sake of peace between me and Aria ,and also for myself. I feel like there's something out there for me,calling out to me but I don't know what." "Are you sure this is a good idea?"he says after a while. "yes. I have to do this,it's better this way." "when are you leaving?" "Tonight." I see him sigh and turn to look at me."what about your parents?what will you say to them?" "Nothing. no one else should know of this, only you Norman. " "I will miss having you around."he says after a while of silence. "don't worry I'll come back someday,and I should get going now."I say as I hug him one last time and go towards the enchantress's house. When I got there ,she was already waiting for me and I gave her a curt nod to begin the spell. when she was done she gestured for me to walk through the portal, and at that very moment I knew that, this is it ,there is no backing out now.
