CHAPTER 18

ㅇㅇㅇㅇㅇ

LALICE

I held on to Jungkook's hand tightly as I watched the scene in front of me. Rosé in the arms of a stranger, making love like there's no tomorrow. The innocent Roseanne they all know of. My best friend. My sister.

The surrounding warped and they were brought to Beulping. Jennie, Jisoo, the rest of Winner and Ikon were there. She was wearing a black cloak. I was there too.

I remember that day clearly. Everyone smiled at the new girl. She talked so sweetly and she had the most angelic features.

"Please take good care of me," she said as she bowed.

Again, the surrounding changed into a few days after her entering Beulping. Jennie was training. I remember what happened.

"Ah!"

Rosé hid behind the tree. The had the arrow on her hand. She was the one who shot Jennie that day.

"Gwenchana, unnie?" My astral self asked the hurt Jennie.

"De, it was just a graze. I was just startled."

From a far, Rosé cursed.

"Plan B."

The surroundings warped into a new one. It was Jisoo unnie washing her clothes by the river. She slipped into the water and almost drowned because the water current suddenly became violent. But Jennie unnie saw it and helped her. Again, Rosé who was hiding behind a tree cursed.

"Damn it."

It hurts watching Rosé plot our deaths flash before me. I genuinely loved her like a sister. She was the one I relied on the most.

Jungkook slightly pulled me closer to him.

"We can stop--"

"No. I have to find out what she's really up to."

"But these are all just recent. We should go further into her past."

"Yeah. We have to dig deeper."

The surroundings warped. It transported us into a household on fire

"Rosie! Run!"

A crying little girl was crying at the end of the staircase. A dead body laid beside her as a hooded man attacked the woman who just told her to run.

"Eommaaaaa!"

With one swift move, the woman fell on the floor with blood oozing out of her slit neck.

The hooded man was about to attack the little girl when another figure suddenly blocked his way. The hood came off the child's savior and it was revealed to be a teenage Minjae.

"Why don't you pick on someone your own size?"

"Move away! This family is a threat to the council and it is the the sacred duty of TVXQ to protect the supernatural world--"

I shrieked. Minjae slashed the hooded guy's throat and he fell lifeless on the floor.

Minjae picked little Roseanne up and carried her out the burning household.

"He saved her..."

The surroundings started to warp again. A few seconds in, it materialized into a penthouse.

"I will kill each member of that damned council if it's the last thing I do, Minjae! And there's nothing you can do to stop me!"

Rosé was determined, daggers at hand. But Minjae stopped her and held both her shoulders.

"You'll get your revenge, Rosie. But we have to wait. Esem is almost mine and it's just about time when I finally have control over the Council--"

"You, part of the council?" Rosé rolled her eyes then scoffed--far from the Rosé I know. "You've got to be kidding me. You hate supernaturals. You want everyone dead. Why'd you want to be part of that fcking council?"

"Listen, Rosie. If I become part of the council, it will be easier to wipe all supernaturals. I'll start off with Wayji and then Jeywaypi--"

"But that will take a long time! I want to kill those bastards who ordered to kill my family!"

"Be patient, Roseanne! We have to plan things out carefully so we wouldn't be caught!"

"Well I'm not patient and you know that!"

I gasped as I saw her eyes turn black. I looked at Jungkook.

"She's a demon?"

"An incubus." Jungkook stated. "They are demons that cannot be easily detected. And maybe that's the reason why the Council ordered her family to be killed."

"But how can she be able to do those spells and control water?"

"Hybrid. That's the only way."

I turned to look at Roseanne and Minjae sharing a hot kiss. Looks like they've made up. The scenery started to change again.

"We'll kill all of those girls tonight," she said over a small device. I know where we're at right now. We're in Beulping's manor. "Yoon Suk will enter Beulping. This is our chance to frame him of those girls' deaths. Use those mutts of yours because they have no idea how to fight those creatures--"

"Rosie?"

"Y-Yes?"

I scoffed at how easily she could convert from that demonic b***h to the innocent Rosé we all know of. I can also see the immediate disgust on Jungkook's face.

"Can you please go get Lisa? It's almost time."

"A-Ah! Sure!"

Jisoo closed the door and the sweet smile on her face instantly disappeared. 

"I ain't that kid's keeper. Disgusting piece of s**t--"

"Lisa calm down! You can't hurt her right now."

Jungkook's arm caught me even before I had the chance to tackle Rosé. That b***h!

"Remember, she got her family killed and she grew up with Minjae. They both grew up in hatred so you can't 100% blame it on her--"

"Fine. Go marry her then. We're through." I turned and walked away from him. But he caught my hand.

"Aish. I'm just saying, you two have been friends too. Best friends even. At least remember the good memories--"

"She fcking betrayed me, Jungkook. If it's not 100% clear yet. She almost killed Jennie and Jisoo! Now tell me, if one of your brothers did the same, will you forgive him that easily?"

Jungkook couldn't answer.

"Now you get my point? She's not the Rosé I know. She's an evil little b***h--"

"Holy s**t. We have to go, Lisa--"

"What?! No! We still haven't gotten the answer--"

"Stop being stubborn and just listen to me! We have to get out now!"

The surroundings around us started to warp again. Light blinding the bith of is as Jungkook tried to reach for my hand. I was reaching for him two but an unknown force kept pulling me.

"Lisa! Lisa!"

His voice still audible but no sound came out as I yelled as well. A blinding light--then darkness. No sound, no nothing. Just darkness and silence. I moved but then I didn't.

JUNGKOOK

"Lisa! Lisa! Wake up!" I tried my best to wake Lisa up but she won't. We were already out of the memory. A tampered one. I know 'coz I have double the heightened senses a normal vampire has.

And trap was written all over those memories.

The more hatered you feel, the more you get trapped inside that gem. It would be very difficult to leave on your own.

"Lisa!"

She still won't wake up. And it's about time the others will enter Wayji. I meed to stop them at all cost.

"Jungkook? Is that you?"

My eyes grew wide as I saw Jinhwan.

"Is that--Lisa! What did you do to her?!" He automatically ran to her side.

"Jinhwan. You have to protect her for the mean time. Don't let the gems leave her side." His eyebrows furrowed. "Please just trust me on this. I have no time to explain. I have to go--"

"Jinhwan! The vamps and wolves are attacking--you! What are you doing here?!" Chanwoo who suddenly came blurted out. "Traitors!"

I looked over to Jinhwan. "Look, I need to go and stop all of them from attacking. That's why I need you to protect Lisa."

"I will protect Lisa even if you didn't ask."

With that I gently placed a kiss on my wife's forehead and left. I just hope I get there in time.

If my hunch is correct, Jennie's life is in danger.

"What the fck, Namjoon?! Why are you doing this?!" Bobby hissed as he dodged Namjoon's attacks. "Are you possessed or something?"

"You don't understand, Bobby. You're on the wrong side. It was your sajangnim who wants Blackpink killed! He made portals for those demon to get in--"

"He won't ever do that!" Hanbin countered. "Sajangnim loves Blackpink so much just like they're her own daughters! How can he possibly do that?"

"If he wants them dead, why would he go through trouble just to protect them?" Mino asked.

"Don't listen to them, Namjoon," Rosé said which surprised the three boys from Wayji. "They're obviously blinded by loyalty to someone unworthy."

"Rosé! How could you say that? Papa Sajangnim loved all of us like we were his own kids!" Junhoe threw dagger like glares at Rosé.

"He made those demons enter Beulping! He wanted us all dead!"

"He would never do that--"

"Rosé's right, June. He was never there when those demons appear and it would always be every time he enters Beulping that demons would spur out from nowhere," Jisoo explained.

"Where's Lisa?" Jinwoo asked. "I'm sure she'll kncock some sense in those thick heads of yours--"

"She almost died because of those demons!" Rosé clenched her fists.

"What's going on here?!"

"Jennie!" Yoongi immediately went towards her but Seungyoon and Seunghoon blocked his way. "What the fck?! Move!"

"What's going on here? Why are you all fighting each other?" Jimin asked as he too arrived with Jennie. "We just got out to buy some food. Wayji sajangnim is really cool--"

"He got to Jimin too! He's turned against us!" Rosé claimed while pointing towards Jimin whose eyebrows furrowed.

"What the actual fck?!" Jimin looked genuinely irritated.

"Unnie! Let's get out of this place, juseyo. Wayji is evil!" Rosé continued as she suddenly popped beside Jennie and tried to pull her.

"What? He just--"

"Kyaa!"

Everyone was shocked when Rosé's face changed expression from a worrying one to a pained one. Especially Jimin.

"Jennie! The spell! She's a demon--"

"Fck this."

All eyes widened as Rosé conjured a sharp weapon made out of solidified water and immediately stabbed Jennie straight into her stomach.

"Jen!!!!"

Who screamed? It was a mixture of Yoongi and everybody else.

"R-Rosie..." was the only word Jennie muttered before she fell lifeless on the paved floor as Jimin caught her.

She smirked. "Guess this only leaves Jisoo. But she's too weak of an opponent so she wouldn't stand a chance. Bye now."

Everyone was too shock to even move and stop Rosé. More so Chanyeol who just watched the love of his life change from that sweet and innocent girl to this demonic evil b***h.

"Jennie! Jennie!"

"Hyung!"

Namjoon and the rest of the vamps turned to see Jungkook running towards them.

"Rosé, she's--"

"Evil? Yeah, we all kinda got fooled," Namjoon said on clenched fist as he moved and showed Jungkook what he just missed.

"She... she did this?! Fck!"

"Save her!" Yoongi yelled. "You're all witches! Save her!"

"Yoongi, we can't. We're don't have the ability of spirit--"

"Wait!" Jisoo said as she knelt beside Jennie. "She still has a heartbeat! You can still save her, Yoongi! Bite her and turn her into a vampire!"

"But the baby..."

"I can only feel one aura alive," Hoseok said. "The baby is already gone. But we can still save her."

Yoongi didn't waste any time. He bit her. But nothing happened. He bit her again. And again. Nothing.

"Fck!" Yoongi was already crying. His brothers calming him down but he would push them away as he tried to save the love of his life.

"Yoongi! Stop! It's too late--"

"Everyone!"

Lisa, Chanwoo and Jinhwan ran towards them. The hybrid gasped as she was a lifeless Jennie on the floor.

"Who did this?!"

"Rosé--"

"That b***h!" She yelled. "She almost killed me inside that fcking gem! I swear I'm going to kill her the next time I see her!"

"We have to tell Jiyong hyung," Mino said. "He has the ability of spirit. He revived Dara noona when she was killed by a demon."

"But it rips his soul--"

"Where is he?" Yoongi blurted out. "I'll trade my own soul for Jennie!"

Mino was about to take his phone out when suddenly, a faint voice caught all their attention.

"There's no need for that."
