CHAPTER 9

I'm not leaving you.

"It's the second time, hyung," Jungkook whispered. "Can she really come through it?"

"I don't know, Kook," Jin said as he tried to console the youngest. They were by the poolside as Lalice was fast asleep inside her room.

"She'll be alright, right hyung?"

The eldest fell silent as he didn't want to give his dongsaeng false hopes.

"I've always dreamt of finally spending life with her," Jungkook said as tears started to fall from his eyes. "Why does it always have to be short lived?"

"I don't know, Kook. But please be patient and trust me, arasso? She'll remember, I promise..."

LALICE

"Stahb it! Staaaaahb!!!"

I kept laughing as I watched Jin getting chased by Taehyung with a water gun. We were all by the pool having a small party for god knows what reason.

"I just feel like having a party, that's all," I remember Namjoon saying when I asked.

"Yah! I said stahb it, didn't I?!" He yelled at the younger one. Tae just kept laughing. Jimin joined it and started shooting at him. "Yah!"

And the chasing went on. Yoongi suddenly appeared in front of me and pulled me into the water. 

"Ya!" I yelled at him as he laughed. He was wearing a shirt unlike the other guys who were all topless.

"Sweag." Then he spashed me with water. I did the same. If Rosé were here, I would've asked her to drown him.

"Cannonball!"

I screamed-laugh as Hobi jumped in and created a tidal wave-like ripple. It made me lean on to Yoongi's chest which made him hug me a bit. I looked up at him and he was grinning.

Suddenly, I felt someone tug my arm and pull me into his arms.

"Hyung. No hugging ny wifeu."

Yoongi raised both his hands while laughing. I looked over to Jungkook who looked serious af.

"Geez, kook. You're such a possessive man."

"I don't like sharing, doll. Please bear that in mind." I felt his lips gently touch my wet cheek. My cheeks burn. "You're mine and mine alone, arasso?"

He looks bot hot and cute. But imma mess with him. That's how I roll.

"Sorry, can't hear ya." I stuck my tongue out and ran away from him.

He gave me a smirk then ran after me. I splashed water at him and he did the same. Soon, the others joined in as well. They were all splashing water at Jungkook for my sake.

"Don't you date mess with Bangtan's princess!" Jimin jokingly warned Jungkook.

"Ya! I thought I was the princess?!" Jin whined.

"Gay af," Yoongi commented.

"I'm still more mandsome than you are."

"Says who? Your mother?"

"I'm worldwide handsome--"

"It looks like you're all having tons of fun," a familiar voice interjected.

My head snapped towards the direction of the voice.

"Rosie!"

Roseanne stood at the edge of the pool with five other girls behind her.

"Baby!" Taehyung exclaimed. I looked at him as he hurriedly went out of the pool towards the visitors. He was heading straight to Rosé!

"Ya! Who are you calling baby--ooooh."

I was wrong. He went straight to the beautiful girls with jet black hair and silky white skin. Kinda resembled Snow White, if you ask me.

"You're here!" He said excitedly and hugged the girl tight. "Did you girls go here alone?"

"Yixing accompanied us but he couldn't enter the territory so it's just us sirens and Rosie."

Awww. Her voice is so sweet! Can it possibly be possible to go gay right now?

I looked at the other girls. They were all equally as beautiful. Maybe that's why they are sirens. Their beauties are immeasurable.

I got out of the pool almost instantly and tackled her with a hug.

"I missed you so much Rosie!" I kossed her on her cheek. The boys went ballistic.

"Shield Jungkook's eyes!"

"Protect Rosé from Jungkook!"

"I see steam coming out of his big nose!"

"Hold on to something girls, Jungkook's gonna blow!"

"Ya!"

I didn't pay much attention to their rambling as I clung on to my best friend. But it was a moracle she ain't clueless with regards to my relationship with Jungkook. She grinned at me.

"So... you were married..." she raised her eyebrows up and down insinuating something. "So I guess you were in a honeymoon the past few days?"

"Ya! I thought you were innocent when it comes to those things?!"

I heard two of the sirens snicker behind her.

"Oh. This is Joy and Wendy," Rosé introduced. "Taehyung girlfriend is Irene over there, Seulgi's the one talking with Yoongi and the one drowning That guy over there is Yeri."

Yeri was playfully drowning Hobi.

"Hi!" Joy said.

"Hello!" Wendy waved.

"Back to the topic," Rosie, Joy and Wendy all pulled her towards the lounge chair as they gossip. "How was he? Was he any good?"

I was shookt.

"Ehhhh." Joy suddenly had this frustrated look. "Judging by the look on her face, that vamp wasn't any good."

"I thought vamps were good?" Wendy suddenly said. "I was really considering dating either Yoongi or Namjoon. They both look like they know what they're doing."

"Is Sungjae any good?" Rosé turned to Joy who turned a shade lighter than her red hair.

"If we could only reproduce, we would've made our own coven already."

The three squealed. I was still left shookt.

"But we haven't done anything yet," I managed to blurt out. Their heads snapped towards me.

"What?!"

"But you two already kissed, right?"

I shrugged. Joy and Wendy looked at each other. Like they're having a non-verbal debate or something. They both nodded.

"You say you don't remember anything, right?"

I nodded.

"And you haven't kissed yet?"

"Not that I could remember."

Joy nodded at Wendy. She stood up and pulled me with her. Her hand landed on my shoulder.

"So Lalice..." she began. I don't have a good feeling about this. Jinja. "Let me teach you somethin' somethin' about kissing."

"O...kay." I looked over at Rosie amd she just shrugged. I looked back at Wendy.

"First, if a guy is this close to you, and he tucks your hair behind your ear like this," she tucks my hair behind my ear, "it only means one thing."

"What is it?"

"This."

She suddenly pulled me in and her lips touched mine.

Several gasps can be heard. Jungkook yelled. I was frozen.

JUNGKOOK

"Ya!"

I rushed towards Lisa and the siren who just kissed her. I pulled her away from her and Wendy just smirked. Joy have her a high-five.

Lisa froze.

"Ya, Lisa. Are you okay?" No response. I nudged her then shook her. "Doll. You okay?"

She blinked then looked at me. I tucked her loose hair behind her ear.

"Are you okay, baby doll?"

She didn't answer. Instead, she pulled me in a passionate kiss. And of course, I responded immediately.

"Daebak."

Everyone in the venue went berserk. They were all cheering for the couple except for one.

Namjoon went over to Wendy and pulled her in a corner where no one can see or hear them.

"What did you do, Wendy? Why can't I read her mond anymore?"

Wendy looked an the enraged vamp. She almost melted. Totally her type.

"I know you know why, Nammie," she answered and trailed her finger on his bare skin. It sent shivers down his spine.

"But why did you do it? What did she ever do for you to do that?"

The siren just shrugged then looked at him straight in the eye.

"But I know something you can do for me, Nammie..."

Wendy placed both her arms on top of Namjoon's shoulders. She then pulled him close and whispered something in his ear.

Sirens, they are the most beautiful supernaturals that ever existed. They have golden voices used to seduce and compell any specie. They're all very special women but they have this curse. Their kisses are the deadliest weapon they posses.

On the other hand, back at the poolside where everone's still bearing witness to Lisa and Jungkook making out, Jimin suddenly walked over to Roséanne and Joy.

"Hey ladies..."

That was Jimin's attempt to flirt. Seulgi then approached the two girls.

"Have you seen Wendy?" She asked.

"Woah. Her there fine 'lil thang," Jimin said and winked at the newly arrived siren. Seulgi on the other hand wasn't impressed and rolled her eyes at him.

"Hey there. Are you a vampire or a dwarf?"

"Oooooh. Burn!" Hoseok yelled laughing. "Good thing you're indestructible, right?"

Jimin hissed at his hyung and just left the girls in peace. The three girls laughed.

"I saw Namjoon pull her in the house, Seulgi," Roseanne answered. "She did great, right?"

The siren nodded. Jin then approached them with a tray of food.

"Hey girls. I really thank you girls for accepting my invite to come over."

"For your poptarts and cream puffs? I'd literally kill Sungjae if you'll asl me too, oppa," Joy said as she grab one pop tart from the tray.

Jin laughed at the younger one's comment.

JUNGKOOK

I opened my eyes and saw Lisa looking straight at me. Her eyes... they were both sad and happy. I felt her gently caress my cheek and cup my face.

"Kook..." she said.

It brought me back to those days when we ran away together. When we were just two reckless teenagers who refused to conform to norms and choose to love each other to the ends of world.

"Kookie I--"

Suddenly, a winged creature hovered over the pent's pool area.

"Oh my gosh! An Angel!" It was Rosé.

Lisa looked up as well but she held on to my shirt. I gently removed her hands and walked towards Mingyu, a close friend of mine.

"Mingyu."

"Hey, Kookie!" He greeted as he landed. His wings disappeared. "I received your message."

"That's great." We hugged each other for a bit then he looked at Lisa.

"So..." He was smiling. "Pranpriya Manoban is indeed alive."

I heaved a sigh. "She's Lalice. She's from Wayji."

"Really? She's not Priya?"

I looked at Lisa. Her forehead was creased. Was she mad or something?

"She is but... she's different now." I felt her hold my hand. I looked at her before letting go. I turned towards her. "Lalice. They're here to take with them. I don't think... I don't think we can protect you anymore."

"Ya Jungkook--" Yoongi was about to stop me but I cut him off.

"I called Mingyu to take over. You're not safe with us anymore, Lisa." I felt a sting on my eyes. But I have to stop the tears from falling.

"Why? Why am I not safe with you guys anymore?" Lisa's anger can be felt with her words. "And what makes you think I'm safe with these bird people?"

"Ouch. That hurt," Mingyu commented. Lisa glared at him. "I like her better than Priya. She's feisty!"

"Jeon Jungkook. Answer me, now!"

I have to lie, right? I have to. She's much safer away from me. If she stays, she might get her memories back again and it'll start to rip her apart. I don't want that to happen.

"You're not my Priya. You never will be again. It's best for you to just leave so that I can finally live in peace--"

I felt a sharp pain on my cheek.

"What a hypocrite," she said under her breath. "You said you didn't want me to leave you again. You even begged me. But why are you pushing me away now? I thought you will always protect me? Yeah, I changed. Maybe I will never be the mild mannered Pranpriya again. But f.ck you, Jeon Jungkook. I am Pranpriya and you always break your promises. You promised you won't turn me into a hybrid but you still did. You promised to protect me but here you are, pushing me away. And you promised you'd never leave me yet you're letting me go."

I froze. She was already crying.

"H-How did you--"

"Sirens have the ability to tale away memories. That's the deadliest weapon there is," Jin siddenly butted in. "I asked for their help that's why they came here, to reverse Lisa's memory loss since they can give back memories as well. That's why Wendy kissed her a while ago."

I looked at him shocked.

"I told you to be patient, didn't I? I had no idea you went out of your way and contacted the angels," he continued. "I told you to trust me. I always had your back, didn't I?"

"Oppa," Lisa said as she stepped closer towards him. "It's okay. It's his choice. He gave up. I'll go with the angels."

"Lisa I didn't mean that--"

"Just stay away from me, Jungkook," she hissed. "Just stay the hell away from me."

"Lisa I swear it's not like that. I love you--"

"You love Pranpriya, not Lalice. And like what you said, I'm not her anymore so I'm leaving."

Mingyu took her and they flew. My heart sank as I watched them fly away.

"You i***t!"

Jungkookt got smacked hard. 

He felt nothing. 

He felt numb.
