CHAPTER 10

LALICE

"I can't believe I just did that."

My arms were wrapped around the angel's neck as he carried me through the air. I felt my heart shatter as the distance between me and Jungkook increased.

I remembered everything. And it was all because of Wendy's kiss. It was awkward, yes, but I guess it was what I needed.

The tears won't stop from falling. I felt Mingyu land on the ground and his wings disappeared. He help me get off safely.

"Thanks, Yixing."

Mingyu--I mean, Yixing grinned as he turned back into his old self. I knew he wasn't the real Mingyu from the moment he stepped in.

"You okay, princess?"

I wiped my tears and looked at him. "Y-Yeah. Thanks for your help."

"Man. I was just thinking of crashing your party. I didn't think it would end up like this."

"I didn't either," I whispered. I felt him envelop me in his arms. I started to cry again.

"He just wants you safe. He didn't know about the sirens..."

"I know but why did he give up that easily?"

I held my chin up. "You know, princess, he didn't actually break his promise. He is protecting you. He just said that so you'd come with Mingyu."

"How is he protecting me? He's shipping me off to some bird-people--"

"They're Angels. You're hurting their feelings."

"Whatever." I rolled my eyes at him. "My point is, why do he need to send me off with people I don't even know?"

"He's protecting you from himself," he said. "Well that's what I think. You might not know this, princess but I see the way he looks at you. And I'm a kitsune. I can feel emotions better than any special ability mumbo-jumbo vampires have."

"But why, though? What is he protecting me from?"

"There's this thing about emotions forcefully taken away," he stated. "When it comes back, it's not just fragments. It comes back all at once. And literally rips the person apart--even if you're a vampire, it can literally kill you."

"But why didn't I die when Wendy gave me back my memories?"

"It's a special ability given to Sirens. You gain your memories back but your mind gets blocked and it heals almost instantly."

"Blocked? That means neither Namjoon nor Yoongi can get in my head?" He nodded.

"Sirens might not be gifted when it comes to combat but, their abilities are certainly an advantage."

I looked back. Then sighed.

"Whatever his reasons are, it doesn't change the fact that he threw me out--ya!" He pinched my nose. "What the heck was that for?!"

"Stop being so cute or else, I might start to become selfish and take you for myself."

I rolled my ayes at him which made him laugh. Then he took my hand.

"We should get going. In a minute or two, the real Mingyu might arrive at the pent and Jungkook will realize I'm not the real one."

"Where are we going?"

"We'll go and visit one of your sisters."

My eyes lit up and we sped off.

"Lisa?!"

"Jisoo unnie!"

I ran towards my surprised sister as she stood up from where she was sitting. 

"What are you doing here? How'd you manage come here?"

"Annyeong!" Yixing showed himself to Jisoo.

"You're the other hybrid, right?" He nodded. "Is it only the two of you? Where's BTS?"

I rolled my eyes. "Don't even remind me, unnie."

"Trouble in paradise, I see." I raised my eyebrow. "Jennie came the other day with Got7. She told me about the marriage bind thing."

"He's screwed up in here." I pointed my head. "But I've got great news. I remember my past now!"

Her face lit up. "Jinja? Omo! I'm so happy for you Lalice!"

"Thanks unnie. Where's Jinhwan oppa? Bobby and Hanbin? Mino oppa?"

"I'm hurt, Lis. You didn't look for me." I turned to see who it was.

"Jinwoo oppa!" I tackled him with a hug. "How's the fake maknae doing?"

"Still handsome." He made a clicking sound with his tongue. "Oh, hey Yixing. Still EXO's messenger, aye?"

The guy shrugged. "Still can't reach the kitchen counter, aye?"

They both laughed and hugged each other. I looked at both of them, confused.

"We know each other before," Yixing said. "I don't actually hate all of Wayji members."

I rolled my eyes at him.

"This is the exact reason why I like this girl."

"Wait 'til you meet Jennie."

I turned to Jisoo. "Have you talked to Sajangnim?"

"I haven't seen him since I got here. Bigbang and 2NE1 too. I'm staying at Winner's place but iKon keeps coming to bug me. Especially Bobby."

I nudged her a bit. "We all know Bobby oppa likes you since we were trainees. He even cried when he left."

"Ya. Stop saying what's not true," she nudged me back making me chuckle. "Anyways, what brings you here?"

"Well, I kinda got kicked out by Jungkook so..."

"No she wasn't," Yixing intervened. "She's just acting like a drama queen or something--"

"Ya Jinwoo! We need to go out and find Lalice she's been abducted--Lisa?!"

"Hi Mino oppa," I said with an awkward smile. "How 'ya doin'?"

"Ya! Bangtan's all over the city looking for you!"

"Serves them right after kicking me out--ouch! You wanna die, mutt?!"

"Just go back to them, princess. I'm sure Jungkook learned his lesson."

I rolled my eyes and ultimately sighed. "Fine. But before we do that, can we go somewhere first with Jisoo unnie?"

"Where to?"

I grinned. "You'll see."

JUNGKOOK

"This is your fault, Kook," Yoongi said as we sped through the city looking for Lisa. "You could have told us your plan. Jin would have stopped you from doing this stupidity."

"He should've told me the plan!"

"It was supposed to be a surprise for your birthday," Jin argued. "Aish jinja."

A while after Lisa left with Mingyu, another Mingyu showed up. It was then when we knew we've been tricked. Only one guy came into my mind.

Zhang Yixing

"Did you call iKon?" I asked Namjoon.

"Yeah. I just talked to him a minute ago. He said he'll look for Lisa too and contact us if he does see her."

"Taehyung, did you call EXO? Do they know where Yixing took Lisa?"

"No but I do hope somewhere far away from a jerk like you."

"You're not a five-year old, Tae. Grow up."

"No, you grow up! Why'd you have to do that to Lisa? And who gave you the right to decide for her?"

"I'm her husband. All I do or decide is for her own good!"

"Well apparently, you do not."

Taehyung left. I heaved a heavy sigh.

"I've lived for almost 300 years now, Kook. But never have I seen someone as stupid as you are," Hoseok said.

"Will you guys stop gaining up on me? I get it now. What I did was stupid. But can you blame me? Lisa's life was on the line. And she almost died twice because being with me triggered her memories to come back. It kills the only shred of humanity I have inside me!"

They all fell silent. Just as we were about to resume our search, shadow demons began to show up out of the blue.

"Give us the girl!" The monster hissed as he attacked.

I took my dagger out and started to stab the creatures coming at me one after another. The others fought as well. But the demons just kept multiplying and spurting out of the ground like weeds.

"Kook watch out--"

As I turned, the demon suddenly evaporated. Like it was shot or something.

I looked around only to find a feminine figure not too far away from us.

"Lisa?" Jimin suddenly said as they were also looking at her.

She walked towards me like the badass she is. Gone was her firey red-orange hair. Her bleached hair swayed and with every step she took burnt the shadow demons coming her way.

She looks like Pranpriya now. But her aura was still Lalice. She was both those person. I just got the best of both worlds.

Behind her followed a wolf--it was Yixing I'm sure, who attacked the demons aiming towards her.

"These demons are testing my patience," She said.

"You were never the patient one." Yixing said making her shrug. She raise her hand then clenched it. The demons started combust one after another. Some were now burning in flames. The demons started to retreat which made Lisa smirk.

Damn she's really powerful!

"Lisa!"

Taehyung came running and tackled her with a hug. Jimin and Hoseok also ran and hugged her. Jin and Yoongi took there time but there was a smile plastered on their faces.

"You're coming back right? You'll stay with us again, right?"

"Well it depends." She looked over at me. "Is he still a jerk?"

I couldn't say anything.

"We'll kick him out for you," Taehyung said.

"I could just kick him myself though."

Jungkook traversed the 

short distance between them

and trapped the witch's body

inside his arms

Lisa's body tensed. She could just melt inside his arms. But she shouldn't let him know. What he did was uncalled for and it hurt her feelings. Even when Yixing explained things to her, it would still be better if it comes from his own mouth.

"Lisa..."

Jungkook tightened his grip on his wife. He wanted to explain. He wanted to justify what he did. But how could he? Would she even listen?

"I'm... I..."

Lisa waited patiently. She felt him let out a sigh. What he did shocked the young witch.

No words were needed. No explanation whatsoever. Only their hearts did the talking.

"Gross," Yixing commented. He nudged the vampire next to him. "Are all married vampires like that? Kissing each other in public?"

"Don't ruin the moment, mutt." Yoongi nudged the hybrid as well. The guy just rolled his eyes.

"Ya! Get a room!"

Yoongi glared at him which he just sheugged off.

"What? I'm just saying, go back home already. Those demons might come back, you know."

The group went back to the penthouse where an unexpected guest was waiting for them.

"Hey there vamps."

"Jennie!" Lisa rushed towards her sister. "What are you doing here?"

She shrugged. "I got kicked out."

"She got in a fight with JB." Another unexpected guest appeared. "Annyeong!"

"Nayeon." It was Yoongi who acknowledged her. "What are you even doing here?"

"I just accompanied Jennie here since she didn't know the way," the fairy replied. "And besides, what's wrong with visiting my ex? Well, since you're all here now, I'll be going. Jen, I'll text you when JB cools down. I already tweaked your scent so you can't be sensed by other supernaturals. But it will wear off after a week."

"Thanks Nayeon." The two girls hugged. Nayeon shook Lisa's hand.

"Nice meeting you, hybrid. Momo and Tzuyu's dying to meet you. Au revoir!"

She exploded into golded dust. Jennie turned towards the boys with her RBF (resting b***h face) in tact.

"So, where's my room?"
