CHAPTER 55: MOVING BACK TO THE MANSION
VENUS:
I hurried back to the maid's quarters and went straight to Jenna's room. She curled up on her bed with a book and instantly jumped with excitement when she saw me.
“Hey Venus, where have you been?”
“I've been at the Alpha's library. Can I talk to you in my room?”
She nodded and followed me. We've only been friends for a few days but I already like her. She's a free spirited wolf and always willing to listen.
“You okay?" she asked as soon as we entered my room.
I sat on the edge of the bed, my fingers absently brushing the stitching of the comforter. "The alpha called me into the library this morning. Said he doesn’t want me living like a slave anymore. He wants me to move back into the mansion... and live like his mate."
