Alya's POV
How much could three words break a person? Sometimes even a single word could shatter someone. As Demir's words, "I trusted you," echoed in my ears, tears flowed more freely from my eyes. As I continued to look into his eyes, expecting him to yell at me in anger, he just stared back in disappointment.
"Demir, I didn't do anything to break your trust. Nothing is as it seems. Let me explain from the beginning!"
He laughed coldly, his face unmoving. "You did nothing, huh? What more could you do? You lied to my face! Did you think you could lull me into a false sense of security? If you'd come to me from the start, none of this would have happened!"
Even if I wanted to, I couldn't have done such a thing. I was never that kind of person. If I tried, it would blow up in my face. J
