A MONTH LATER.
Reagan’s exams were finally done and he’d started packing for his trip and planning what he’d do when he returned. The Beta bodyguards still sat outside his house every night, but he’d come to feel comforted by their presence.
It meant Grayson still cared. Or so he liked to pretend.
Because the more he thought about it, the more he realized that Grayson had been right. Their relationship had been doomed from the very start, and they weren’t meant to be together.
What had he been thinking a month ago, when he’d practically begged a wolf shifter to continue their weird relationship? It had to be the lowest point of many low points over the past month. It’s amazing how fast you can get sucked in when you fall in love.
