Vavara POV
As I lie in bed I contemplate going home. I told Aiden I would visit him.. but I didn’t want to. And if I didn’t show up, I knew he would come here and drag me to the underworld.
Alek was passed out with his arms wrapped tightly around me.. maybe he was afraid I would leave. I didn’t like hiding things from him.. but i couldn’t bear the thought of losing him after coming so far.. growing to care for him.
I closed my eyes and shuddered as I left my body. When I opened my eyes, I was standing next to my bed, looking at my body being held by Alek. He looked so.. pained. As if he felt I wasn’t completely there. I wave of anguish flowed through me, and I debated for just a moment.. just staying here with him and dealing with the consequences.
But I knew I couldn’t do that.
