Vavara POV
When I got back to the palace, Alek was sitting at the dining table along with our friends and my family. It was.. incredibly silent. Which truthfully made me feel uneasy.
“Ah, there you are. I’ve been wondering what happened.” My father spoke as soon as he saw me. I let out a sigh as I sat next to Alek, but he didn’t even acknowledge me.. my Father took notice instantly.
“I needed a moment,” I said. I jumped when I felt a hand on my shoulder, but when my mother's scent filled my nose I calmed.
“I didn’t mean to frighten you.” She chuckled nervously. I stood up and turned around, wrapping my arms around her and holding her tightly.
“I’m sorry for running. I remember now.” I said. I felt her grip on me tighten and heard a soft whimper.
