Bethel's Pov

I tried but I couldn't get him off my mind, I couldn't hate him. I told myself I didn't like or want his touches,

his gaze, his touches but my body said the exact opposite.

I didn't know who he was, or what he could do, how could I dear to annoy him.

I thought of him every minute,

but I pushed him away which destroyed what we were starting to have.

He kept secrets from me.

I thought he was finally gone untill two years later, he came back with a woman.

WHO IS SHE?

Chapter 1
***POV I drove through the quiet street. As I scanned the surroundings, everything was as quiet as a mouse. Not a single person was outside. It was night, and it was a little strange that even Club Cloud 9—yeah, that was a really strange name for a club—was closed. I wondered what kind of town this was, and I kept asking myself if moving here for the job assigned to me was a good idea. Still lost in my thoughts, I spotted a girl by the roadside. She was so drunk that she could barely walk straight, and she kept murmuring something to herself. I don't know why I felt drawn to her. At some point, I couldn't just mind my own business. I stopped the car and walked over to her. "Hey, miss," I said. She looked at me and smiled. She was very beautiful, and everything she wore screamed luxury. I wondered what someone like her was doing on a lonely street in such a drunken state. She could easily get robbed or even kidnapped. "Hey, Mr.," she said before bursting into laughter. "You're so handsome. Can you take me home so I can be your mistress?" She said it again, this time in a seductive manner. She walked up to me, rubbing my chest and licking her lips. I looked at her with mild disgust. Well, she was drunk, so she probably had no idea what she was doing. Then I asked, "Where do you live? I can take you home. This place isn't safe for you." As soon as I asked the question, she laughed. "You're no fun. So serious... Hmm, I love my men serious. Take me to where you live." I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I looked at her and realized I had two choices: either walk away and leave her to whatever fate awaited her, or take her to a hotel and let her spend the night there. After thinking it over, I chose the second option. Without another thought, I carried her in my arms. She struggled for a minute before finally giving up. I placed her in the back seat of my car and drove to a nearby hotel. I tried to book a room, but they told me all the rooms were full. I had no choice but to take her to my apartment. This was definitely not how I planned to spend my first day in Lagos State. When I arrived at my apartment, I turned to look at her in the back seat. She had been murmuring throughout the ride, but I hadn't paid much attention because I was too focused on driving. The moment I looked at her, I froze. She was completely naked. Not even her underwear was left on. For a moment, I couldn't take my eyes off her. She was incredibly beautiful, but it was completely inappropriate for me to keep staring. Then our eyes met. "It's sooo hot," she murmured. At that moment, I realized one thing. She had been drugged. And I knew I had made a terrible mistake by bringing her with me. "s**t," the word escaped my mouth as the reality of the situation hit me. I stepped out of the car and shut the door, leaving her inside. Then I hurried into the house and grabbed a large duvet that was big enough to cover her. I returned to the car, opened the back seat while holding the duvet up high, and carefully covered her. Then I carried her into the house, took her to the guest room, and gently laid her on the bed. I was about to leave when I heard her voice. "Are you really just going to leave me like this?" I turned around. She was naked again. The duvet I had used to cover her was lying on the floor. She must have removed it. And at that moment, I knew I wouldn't be able to resist her anymore.
