Bay leaves

    I'm Mina Howards and I'm 15 years old. I always thought that the way life goes is you die and there's darkness. You just aren't alive. Like being asleep. Until I got in an explosion and died. Just to come back less than an 1 hour later.     But I'll tell you the beginning. I was spending the summer at my aunts house. I smelled smoke so I walked into the kitchen. "What are you doing"? "Writing wishes on bay leaves and then burning them, your wish will come true".     "Oh, can I do one"? "Sure". I got and leaf and wrote my wish on it. "Live a great life and go out with a bang". Then I set the leaf on fire. Half of it burned off so it only read, "Go out with a bang".     "That makes it a separate wish". "What does it say, Mina"? "Nothing too important", I said burning the rest. As I went to go sit on the couch I thought, "Will it really come true". "If so who's granting these wishes"?     "If so will I go out with a bang or live a great life"? "Guess I'll never know". Soon the summer ended and it was time for me to go home. I was 16 by the time I was leaving. I had to ride the bus since my parents couldn't pick me up.      On the way the bus suddenly stopped, but not at a bus stop. "We have some technical issues", the bus driver shouted. Not long after the bus exploded. I could hear screams of pain and even smell people's burning flesh. I had flew out of the bus and landed on my back.      I also hit my head. I couldn't move my legs or arms. I lifted my head up so that I could look at my body. It was bruised, burned, and wounded. I started to scream as I put my head back on the ground.     I could feel my heart slowing down. "I'm dying, this is how it's going to end", I thought as I closed my eyes. Suddenly I awoke and took a large gasp for air. I needed to fill my lungs. I was breathing rapidly. When I calmed down i realized the situation.     I looked at my body that I could now move. All my wounds and burns were gone. I stood up and started feeling my body to check if it was true. "Hi there", a voice said. I turned around and no one was there. "I'm not behind you silly, I'm in your head".     "Who are you", I shouted at the voice. "I'm the universe, I'm here to guide you to eternal death". "What are you talking about"? "I'm the one who answers the wishes of the bay leaves". "What do you mean eternal death, what's happening to me"?     "Your wish has became separate but I also granted both wishes". "So first i have to live a great life, then I can go out with a bang"? "Yes I have welcomed you back to life". "So how do I live a great life". "I don't know, that part is up to you, yet I will be here to guide you with death".     An ambulance pulled up and ignored me. "Hey, I was in the accident"! "But you look fine", they said back. "I know but I was on the bus"! I was put on the ambulance and taken away.
