Chapter 11 Library

537 Words
Lexi pov That was close. I can make it to the library. Lucky, I made a bunch of extra charms. I suppress my vamp side and add more scent blockers from my bag, with spray scent blocker scent blockers, and I spray myself to cover any smell I’m letting off. I continue to restock books, organise and put out the new selection I ordered the other day. I’m down on my knees sliding the books onto the bottom shelf when I hear the doorbell chime. “I’ll be right with you” I say, as I place the last book on and make my way to standing, I turn and it’s the guy that was with the wolf twin, he is even more handsome when he is closer. “Can….. I help you with something?” I stuttered. “Yes, my name is Damon, what’s yours beautiful, I’m looking for.. A book on vampires?” he says with confusion in his voice “Lexi, vampires? Like new age fiction or…. Nonfiction?” I say stupidly, now he is going to know I know about the supernatural world, I could be a human in the know or just a crazy person who thinks vampires are real. “Is there such things as non-fiction?” he says with a smirk, a step closer. “Well, we do have some old text in the back that do a good job of seeming nonfiction but they are probably just written by a crazy person. Come, I’ll show you”. I led him to the very back. As I’m walking back there, I realise that I’m going into a dark place with someone I suspect of being some sort of supernatural, maybe even a vampire, if he is looking for information about them. Do vampires and wolves hang out or do they hate each other? I really wish Gran would have told me more about the supernatural world. All the stuff I know is from books, but I suspect not all of them have anything right. “vampires”. I drag my finger along the row of old books until I come across the right one. ”uhhah here, vampires, history, families, spells, what were you looking for exactly?” I said, reading the titles of the books in my head. “Soul bonds” he says, staring at me, Oh.. No, not another one. Hopefully it’s just research for someone else, but the way he is looking at me I’m not so sure. I skim the titles of the books and find a book called *vampire soul bonded*. I pull it out and carry it to the table where you can read books and place it down for him to read. “Thank you” he says, walking over and looking at the book. As he reaches the table, he reaches his hand out to touch mine. I try to pull my hand away. Him touching me isn’t a good idea, but I cannot seem to pull away from him. “What are you?” he says as he stares into my eyes. “What am I? I’m a librarian”, I say, absolutely captivated in his eyes.
