“No, what type of supernatural are you?” he says as his eyes bore deeper into me. What am I is rushing though my head when I realise he is trying to compel me. I cleared my throat and shook my head, breaking the eye contact I had with him and repeated
“type of supernatural. I’m a librarian”. I went to leave and step past him, when he blocked my path. I step back so we are not so close and my back hits the bookshelf behind me, he steps in front of me, caging me in.
“I can’t smell you, so I can’t tell what you are. Even humans have a smell and no one has ever been able to break through my compulsion, so I’ll ask again, what are you?” he says, his voice getting deep as he tries to stare into me and figure me out.
I didn’t think the scent blocker through I should have added a human smell, or maybe I used too much and it cancelled everything out. I have to tell him something and the easiest one to explain everything is with “I’m a witch” I blurt out.
“You cannot be an ordinary witch, no witch can break a compulsion, not even one with as many protection charms. Remove your charms” he says, as he reaches for the bracelets on my wrist.
“No, and you cannot make me” I said, trying to work my way out of this conversation. He steps even closer to me, so our bodies are touching
“I cannot make you, but I could try to remove them myself, or you could just let me taste you, then I would be able to tell exactly what you are” he says as his eyes drop to my lips.
“Taste like biting me?” I said, trying to resist leaning into him.
“There are other ways I can taste you, but a simple kiss will let me see a little bit of what you are”. My eyes darted from his eyes to his lips and back again. He slowly leans down closer and closer to my lips. His lips touch mine and I melt into his touch. His lips move against me, my lips move instinctively against his, my body leans in, pressing against him. He feels so good, so right. Power surges inside me, it grows and grows as he deepens the kiss. I tried to hold it in, but it became too much, it burst out of me a bright pink wave of power, shooting out of my body. It pushes Damon away from me and onto the other book shelf, he bounces off and lands on his feet in a crouching position. What just happened? Why do I feel so strong? I franticly check my bracelets and some of the charms have cracks in them.
