Chapter 6 Runaway

She goes still, like she is realising something, she steps out from between us, like she is going to run off. Ross steps in front of her. “I have to go”. She quickly says “Go?, no stay, dance with us? We can go somewhere else or take you home to make sure you get there alright”, Ross says. I can already tell he has clued into what I’m thinking she is trying to leave us. What if she leaves and we never find her again? We need her name, a number, something to try and find her again.

“Um no, I have to go to the bathroom” she says. Bathroom, we can’t stop her from going to the bathroom. Ross lets her pass, but we follow her to make sure no one gives her any trouble and we will just wait outside of it until she is done, then we can get to know her better or do some more dancing. We stand outside the girl’s bathroom, which seems like forever, when I get the smallest smell of witch magic. It was coming from the bathroom. What is, there was a witch in there and something happened, and our mate got hurt. She had been there for a long time.

I turned and knocked on the door. There was no answer. I knock again “beautiful, are you ok in there?” I say getting nervous that im getting no answer. I knock again, getting agitated. I can’t take this any longer. I opened the door and looked inside. No one was in there. Where did she go? There wasn’t another exit, and she couldn’t climb out the window. I sniffed and located a small transport charm cracked on the floor. So she is either a witch or a human that knows about the supernatural world, but why would she run from us?

“Her friend that was dancing with her”, Ross says helpfully. We head back out into the club and spot her blonde friend making out with our Beta, Max. We approach them and Max stops and looks at us. “We need to know about your friend”, we say to the blonde pretty much in unison. "This is Sadie my mate”. She says “congrats, Sadie, we need to know about the girl you were dancing with. She is our mate”. I say, she looks at us dumfounded “Lexi? I doubt that. But I’m pretty sure she is human. I get a small witch smell from her, but it’s more like a transfer smell. If she was a witch, she must be pretty weak. I love the girl, but I’ve never heard a human mated to an alpha, let alone two alphas.” Sadie says. "Where does she live?” Ross says, impatiently. “I don’t think I can tell you that she has been my friend for ages, and I cannot break her trust like that, I will have to discuss it with her” Sadie says looking down we are not her alpha but if we commanded it he would have to tell us, but I don’t think that would be a good start for our relationship with our mate. "ok but we cannot let her go she is our mate, i dont know how long we can stay away from her. if you don’t convince her to talk to us we will have to find her ourselves” I say, we leave the club and head home.
