The doctor left the room briefly and returned with two pieces of paper. He handed one to Gage and one to Vanessa. Gage had sat next to me once more and he wrapped an arm around my waist. The doctor looked at that with a soft frown.
"Are you both active?" He asked suddenly and Gage glared at him.
"What does that have to do with anything?" Vanessa held up her hand to Gage to tell him to calm down.
"Excuse him. He's overly protective of his sub." Vanessa said as she folded up the paper and placed it in her pocket. "I assume you are asking because you want them to refrain?" The doctor nodded to her and then looked back at Gage.
