I woke up, and the bed was still empty. Vanessa had given me something to sleep and said she would be here this morning. We were going to look for Gage. I reached out for our connection once more. I reached up to touch my collar at the same time. This time I felt him respond. A desperate feeling rushed through the connection. Was he in danger? I sat up and tried to feel him more. I shut my eyes to try and focus as best as I could. I grabbed for my phone and called Vanessa.
"I feel Gage this morning," I said before she could speak.
"Through your connection, right?"
"Yeah. There is a desperate feeling. I think he's in trouble." I heard her speak to someone, but it was muffled and hard to make out.
"I am sending Leon to check on something and I will be over there soon. Just wait for me."
