CHAPTER 1 The beginning
Based on a true story about a little girl who grew up living a life most people dread.Long ago there was a man named David and His wife Tamara, who was pregnant. David told Tamara if this was
not a girl, he will leave her. And so it was, a little beautiful baby girl. God called her Isabella. Because God calls us all by
name. When Isabella was 3 months old, her parents got married. One day, David was busy in the garage servicing
their vehicle. David came into the house and had a fight with Tamara. After the fight, he returned to the garage. As
he opened the garage door, he heard a gunshot behind him; he froze for a moment, then twisted around to grab the g*n from Tamar’s hand. Nobody was aware, but Tamara endured
molestation as a child and had her own issues to deal with. I think the trauma was so bad that Tamara did not know
what to do or how to deal with it. Like most of us, we act out in ways we later regret. But there is a root to every problem we face. It is difficult in that moment, but light is REALLY at the end of each dark tunnel. When Isabella was 3 years old, Tamara invited a stranger
into their home. Tamara took Isabella, and her 6-month-old brother Eric locked them in their room and gave them a
packet of wine gums. Tamara and the strange man then went to the main bedroom. Isabella can remember the way
this guy looked, long dark curly hair on his shoulders and dark brown eyes. He drove a yellow car. This had to be very
traumatic to remember for a 3-year-old girl. Isabella also had ADHD as a young girl. It felt to Isabella that her mother wanted to kill her, and she was not far from wrong.
Maybe Tamara did it not intentionally, but maybe it was.
No-one would really know. Isabella never had wine gums
again since that day. Isabella later found out that her
mommy and daddy were still married, and this was not her
daddy her mommy was with. ADHD as a young girl. This is
actually funny now that I am writing about it. They all
went as a family to go visit friends, and the second time
round, the people would close their doors and curtains if
they saw the family outside.
At age 5, Isabella and her mommy, Tamara, were walking to
a friend’s house to drop Isabella off, where she thought her
mommy knew there were no parents. They played outside in
the front yard with Megan and John. John asked Isabella
to come with him to the house. He took her to a room and
made her sit on the bed. He pushed her down and tried to
take her pants down. She screamed and the cleaning lady
came in and took her out of the room. When Isabella went
to preschool, she went with a friend Cathy, who is friends
with her till this day. Cathy was also breast fed by Isabella’s
mother. Her mother did not have breast milk, so Bella’s
mother helped. Isabella started acting out with Tamara and
one morning she did not want to get dressed. Tamara left
the room and this thing in a black bag came into the room.
Isabella got such a fright that she climbed up the cupboards
and nearly fell down. The black bag saw fear on Isabella’s
face and the black bag started becoming Tamara. When her
mommy got angry with her, she would trough her around
and hit her out of frustration, not discipline. Tamara found
God, and at the age of 7, Tamara helped Isabella to give her
life to God. She also received a baby sister, Laura, that same
year. Isabella learned so much from her mommy about how
to live her life with authority over the devil. She would, when
a colouring pencils brake, said in Jesus’ name if you brake
one more time when I sharpen you, I will throw you away,
and the pencil point did not brake again. Isabella woke up
one night seeing red eyes on her brick wall. She ran to her
parent’s room, and she got into bed with them. When she
woke up to go to the bathroom, which is across from her
room, her parents were having s*x at her study table, with
the door open. She was so angry. Why are they invading her
space and doing that in her room?
Isabella, age 10 and her parents, went to church. She would
ask her mommy the bible and she would read it while the
sermon was ongoing. This one Sunday, Isabella had the bible
in her hand reading. Isabella stood up and went to the
front of the church and said she had to read this to the
church. Malachi 2:16 -For the Lord, the God of Israel, says he
hates divorce and cruel men. Therefore, control your
passions—let there be no divorcing of your wives. After the
service a man and woman came to her parents and said that they would not believe what they prayed for as a
couple last night, they prayed for God to tell them if they should fight for their marriage or get divorced, and then your got their answer through their daughter being obedient to
God’s voice. Isabella carried on serving God with all her
heart. One Sunday, there was a request in church for
baptism in water and Isabella could not wait to go when she
got baptized. They prayed for her, and the Holy Spirit came
over her. The pastor said to her that her speaking in tongues
will come. She must just remember that these words will not
be forgotten. As days went on, words came to her head, but
then she forgot them, then again words came and so on.
Not long after her encounter with the Holy Spirit, these
words came into her mind, and she could not forget them.
And from that day on she spoke in tongs that God gave her
as His gift. Isabella also practiced piano at this same church
and loved it. Until the current teacher at school started
hitting her over the fingers when she got a note wrong, and
Isabella left playing piano.
Primary School
One sunny morning, Isabella and Stacy, they were good
friends from school, were walking around in their town, up
hills, and downhills. It started raining. Isabella prayed to
God that he must send someone to pick them up. Few
seconds later she realized that she does not want anyone to
pick them up, and she asked God to send someone she knew.
As she finished her prayer, it started hailing, and at that
same moment, a lady her mother knew stopped next to them
and took them home. Her faith was built from that day. She
trusted God with all her heart.
