Reena POV:
Terrified doesn’t even begin to describe what I was feeling. I had been hiding in the small hidden room for what felt like an eternity. It was dead silent throughout the house, and I couldn’t hear any sounds outside either. I wasn’t sure if it was because it truly was quiet around the home or if this room happened to be soundproof. When I heard a phone ringing outside my hideout, I knew it wasn’t soundproof, and that gave me a little hope that maybe it wasn’t as bad as Kyle had originally thought.
But Atlas told me to stay here until he came back…for my own safety. It killed me not to go out and find the phone that was ringing, but what Atlas didn’t know when he stuck me in here was this was also protecting our baby. Gosh! What if something happens to me…or him…he doesn’t eve
