Chapter 7

Serene's POV

*Alarm blaring*

5:30am

-Inhaling deeply and exhaling slowly-

*softly moaning and groaning* "Just a few more minutes..." I whisper softly.

*Alarm goes off again 5mins later*

"UGH!! Fine I am up..I hate early mornings on a saturday." I say to myself as I slowly start to rub my eyes.

I reach for my phone and bring it close to my face since I can barely see. Might as well blind myself with a bright light but ehhh.

"Okay...what time is it again?" I look and see it is 5:35am. I fling my arms open holding my phone in my left hand. I start to stretch out like a starfish.

"Well time to wake up and get ready for today... oh right it is my birthday so it is going to be a great but long day hehe." I say to myself quietly. "Ugh...I don't want to get up...grrr. But if I stay in this bed my mom will drag me out of bed."

Dragging myself slowly out of bed I see a fluffy black loaf of bread (my cat). "Good morning Barius, well better brush my teeth, then head downstairs to see what mom wants me and the girls to do first."

As soon as I begin to stand up a sharp pain comes to my head and my vision begins to blur. *breathing heavily*

"Why is my head hurting ugh....come on lets get up and head to the bathroom. Maybe I got up too fast. I just need to wash my face. Maybe that will help." I said softly.

I continue to stand and start to walk to my bathroom. With each step felt like I was dragging a heavy weight, it took a while for me to reach the counter in my bathroom. The pain was beginning to increase, within moments I couldn't stand up straight. Placing my hands against the counter. I could hear my heartbeat in my ears. My head was now completely in pain that I could not see my hands. It did not stop for a while it felt like hours until my vision started to clear up. Then it hit me like a tsunami without warning. The pain went from my head to now my skin feeling hotter than the summer I spent in Arizona with Elena and Letty. 'Please stop I can't breathe and this hurts.' I begin to think to myself. 'It is starting to get hard to breathe this pain is too much.'

'Serene...Serene....You need to breathe' says the voice.

"Wh...who are you?" I asked as I am clenching my teeth because of the pain.

'Before that you need to breathe....your heart rate is speeding up. Everyone goes through this when meeting us on their 18th birthday, Calm yourself, slow deep breaths and slow your heart beat.'

This voice is right she is trying to help me remain calm. It is not only my birthday but today I meet my wolf. I should have remembered, but then again it is too early for me. *Inhaling deeply and slowly exhaling three times*

"The pain is subsiding for now. Thank you, what is your name." I ask. I begin to slowly stand up more straight and look in the mirror. 'There she was within my eyes...no our eyes.' Green not just any green.....Emerald Green. Wait is this really happening am I still dreaming. I pinch my cheek and no not dreaming.

'You know pinching your cheek kinda hurts, so don't do that.' the voice chuckles. 'Yes this is happening and yes I am the Emerald Wolf. Excuse me we are the Emerald wolf.'

'This can't be happening...I can't be the Emerald Wolf.' I started to feel like I am hallucinating. 'We literally just heard about the prophecy yesterday.

'Serene we are the Emerald wolf Nyx has blessed you and me to be together.' said the voice. 'This is something I been waiting for to meet you my human girl is wonderful.'

I can easily tell how happy she is which is making me happy too. But at the same time this is all happening so fast that I am trying to wrap my brain around it. I have to tell the girls and hopefully they can help me get through this. Cause this is gonna be a life changer which I am not sure how it will turn out.

"So what is your name?" I asked the voice.

'My name is Victoria, you can call me V for short either one. Just not Vicki or Tori.' said Victoria.

"I am so happy that we get to meet today, I am sorry that I am not more joyful it is just a lot to digest." I pause for a moment. "But I am truly happy the goddess blessed us both with each other."

'Indeed and soon but time will only tell when we also get to meet our mate.' V said. That put me in shock wait am I mated to the king? Or wait did the prophecy say that. I can't think straight and before I can dive deeper into that I hear my phone go off and I look. A text already from my mom as it showed on my screen.

I HOPE YOU ARE AWAKE YOUNG LADY. It is way past the time I said for you to be downstairs.

Oh crap I need to go now, "V, I have to hurry before mom comes up here, I also want to ask if we can talk more with my besties?"

'I would love to meet them.' V responded.

"Great okay I have to hurry up."

I quickly brush my teeth change my clothes, good thing I showered last night. I rush out of my room and knock at the 2 doors down the hall before the stairs. "Hey you guys awake, I just got a text from my mom ?" I shouted at the doors.

Both opened, out came Letty and Elena. Yawning but both just as awake as me.

"Ya I am assuming she is wanting us now cause you woke up late." E said.

"Girl seriously too early but not gonna make your mom more angry then she is." Letty said.

"Agreed and hey lets head downstairs." I said to both of them.

As we hurry downstairs the pack house is already busseling with decorations, vendors, and etc. Seeing my mom already in her Hostess mode there are rules when interacting with mom when she is like that only 2. Number 1 be on time and make sure you are prepared. Number 2 if you don't follow her directions punishment is extra hours into your morning training. Which is something none of us want.

"Morning Mom, we are..."

"How many times do I need to remind you to be careful Mijo?

"I am sorry mom it is hard to reach up while trying to be careful doing this." Nick responded

Shaking her head while placing her index and thumb in a pinching motion against her nose. "I swear you and are your father are one in the same...now where is....oh there you ladies are."

Just like that her attention is now 1000% on me and no one else. "Morning Mom." I hugged her,

"Feliz Cumpleanos Mija! Well now that you are all here...what took you so long you know we have to remain on schedule. Don't say you woke up late cause that would not have happened if everyone went to bed last night in a timely manner." Mom said with hint of sterness in her voice.

"You're right mom, but thank you for everything you have done to celebrate today. I could not have asked for more all this is wonderful but being with everyone means more to me than anything." smiling while I said this.

Mom smiles and begins to tear up. *Sniffles* "Oh mija...you are my most precious beautiful daughter. I will always said if I have a daughter I will spoil her with all my love as she is my Moon light." Mom then pulls me in a big hug.

I tried but could not stop the happy tears from falling. Hugging my mom she is my Sunshine bringing me warmth and love.

"Ahhh there she is and what is this why are you both crying my dear." My father swoops in next us and we both chuckle.

"Nothing Dad we are happy." I smile and hug him as well.

Feeling a soft pat on my head and soft kiss from dad.

'Now this is love, Happy birthday Serene' V said.

'Thank you V.'
