Travis POV

's**t, s**t, shit...' I kept repeating to myself. "What the heck just happened. She did not beg, there was no care coming from her." I say out loud.

Marius scoffs in the back of my head and begins to growl. 'She was 100% right, now I have lost my mate you are a fool. She was to be ours beautiful, kind loving creature was our mate.'

Before Marius could continue I replied, 'Look it is done, I do not deserve her nor do I want her. I can have anyone better than her. I am to be the Gamma I need a strong beautiful mate.'

'You are one idiotic fool Travis, how the goddess paired me with you and why I will never know.' Marius said. Then he shuts me out before I could say anything. This mutt will come around eventually. I start to walk back to see if there is anything else that needed to be done.

Once I spoke with a few omegas, I was told that they had covered the remaining duties nothing else was needed. I took my cue to then head up stairs to get ready. I turn the corner and was nearly tackled to the ground by a small frail looking figure. At first part of me hoped it was Serene which I immediately shook the thought out of my head. I look down and pull back to see Maria.

'Travis baby I was looking everywhere for you. We should get ready before everything starts. I was able to go to town and grab you suit and my dress." Maria said.

I take a look at her and started to think Maria does have some cute features but part of me was still hurting from the regection. I am not gonna let her notice, "Okay babe lets head back to my room I could use a hot shower, Plus I could use the company I say softly to her." I can see her reaction was exactly what I wanted. I love the hold and control I ahve over any female I interact with. This is much sweeter then being chained to a mate bond. I immediately lift Maria over my shoulders and takes us to my room. Maria recently turned 18 about a month ago. We both knew that she was not mated to me. But agreed to remain with each other. But honestly I don't know if I want to stick with Maria maybe later take an arranged match. I need to explore more.

Time passed from the shower with Maria and I began to get ready. I hear a knock at the door. "Who is it?"

"It is me son."

I open the door and see my Dad Randy the current Gamma of the pack. "Hey Dad come in, excuse the mess we were currently getting ready."

Maria pokes her head out of the bathroom with a curling iron in hand. She sets it down, "Hello Randy, how are you?"

"I am well Maria, I hate to do this but may I borrow my son for a moment?" Dad asked.

"Sure thing, babe I will be finishing in here. Just mind link me once you are done and we can meet up." Maria said she kissed my cheek. "See you later Randy."

Dad motions me to follow him. He make our way to his office on the third floor.

"I figure this will give us some privacy." Dad said as we enter his office and he closes the door. "Sit down son."

I sit down and wait for Dad to speak, "So as you know tonight is more than just a party but a very important meeting with the other packs and his Majesty himself."

I nodded, Dad continued, "Tomorrow the meeting will be about the treaties and reports from each neighboring pack of the recent rogue attacks and anything new or recent needed to be mentioned. Possibly this prophecy may come true but we won't know until tonight or maybe tomorrow. However I need you to remain alert and vigilant. As the new Gamma you need to be ready for anything especially if Alpha to be Adrian needs you."

Dad has always been a drill sergeant type, but it is understandable our family has been serving as Gammas to the Silverstone family for years and to the Azure Eclipse pack. But Beta Alyx lost his mate during the last rogue attack 20 years ago, he asked Alpha Marcus to appoint his successor his God son Nick as the next Beta. Alpha did try to reason with Alyx in case the goddess gave him a second chance. But Alyx said "I already had my one and only mate, I asked the goddess to not bless me with a second chance cause I know we will reunite with each other in the Other World." This is what Dad said to me when I was 16.

Breaking my inner thoughts, "Dad I will do my best don't worry. Also by the way did mom make it okay to Milan for the Fashion show Week?" Mom is a designer top requested through out the world. The name of mom's brand is D.D's Couture (Duchess Delilah's Couture).

Dad, "Yes she got their safely, we spoke with each other late last night. She did mention to me that she wants you to be on your best behaviour and not embarass yourself in front of the many high ranked figures."

"Of course, is there anything else Dad?" I asked.

My Dad stared at me for a bit, I hope he can't tell that something happened. "No nothing else, I would just go meet up with Adrian and Nick before you go back with Maria."

"Sounds good thanks Dad."

I get up and walk out of his office. I begin to mind link Maria. 'Hey babe, I need to make sure Adrian and Nick do not need me for the greetings I can't remember if they do. Can I meet you later?'

'Tchh fine babe you owe me a dance.' She scoffs and cuts our link. Honestly I need to figure out what to do with her.

'Hey Nick or Adrian, where are you guys?'

Nick, 'We are in the front stair way entrance.'

'Okay I am heading that way.'

I make way down to the main floor and of course along the way many unmated females were looking couldn't help but give a few smiles and a wink or 2 or 3 to them.

"Finally dude, what took you so long?" Nick asked as soon as I came up to them.

"Sorry dad needed to talk with and went for a run before I got ready so my bad." I responded.

"Well anyway we are all here lets just hope today goes off with out any problems." Adrian said.

"Alright boys guest should be arriving, Richard knows to let us know when his Majesty arrives so we can give the formal greeting when he is annouced." Luna Sandra pauses and looks at us. Begins to tear up like a mom gushing over her boys, the Luna has always been another mother to me, mom and her are very close friends.

"Oh you all look very handsome no longer the little trouble makers but fine young men." Luna says with a small tear coming down her cheek.

"Mom don't do that your gonna be more upset if you ruin your makeup." Nick said has he handed the Luna a tissue.

The Luna takes the tissue and quickly but carefully wipes away the tears. "You are right, I just can't help it I know whoever are the lucky women that come into your lives they will be very happy."

Hearing that made my heart sting, if only they knew. Knowing Serene she kept her promise until tomorrow this happiness will be filled with anger, hate and punches from everyone.

"Well hear are the first guest I will find your father and be right back. Thank you boys." said the Luna.

Here we go let the night begin.

Adrians POV

'Hopefully that is everyone before his majesty comes in. I get it Dad wanted full introductions but mouth is dryer than the desert.' I think to myself.

'Hey Adrian can you help me I think my skirt is caught to the stairwell.' Serene mind linked me.

'Sure I will be right there we are just about done with greetings.'

'Okay thank you'

After greeting the Alpha and Luna of Sur de Norte, I make way over to the the stairwell.

"Hey Adrian everything okay?" Nick asked

"Yeah just Serene needs help."

"I will come with I want to see her before she gets crowded by everyone." Nick said.

Travis was behind him and we all make our way to the stairwell on the second floor.

"Took you long enough Adrian, sorry I am just annoyed this happened." Serene said.

"Wow little sis, you look amazing." Nick said.

He was right our sister is a looker myself and Nick having to be her guards was an understatement as her older brothers. But tonight she was at her most beautiful, some say that Serene looked like Grandma Belinda. No she was her own person created in the Image we say how the Moon Goddess sees us. Honestly I prayed even then that whoever is her mate will cherish my sister and love her completely. As the oldest I made it my own promise that for my siblings I want to make sure that they are protected, cared and loved by their mates.

"Hermano, hello? Did you just space out on me." I focused back on Serene. "Sorry hermana, I just got lost in thought and seeing you like this I could not be more prouder that I am your brother. Okay tell me how we can help."

"Just take my left hand and nick can you carefully pull the skirt without tearing it?" she asked.

I reach out my arm to her, for her to grab on while Nick did what he could. "You got it Nick?" I asked.

"Yeah I think so just keep her steady please." Nick replied. Travis was off to her right but more in front of her.

It took a few minutes but we were able to free her from being stuck on the rail.

"Thank the Goddess that this did not tear. Mom would have been pissed. Thank you guys." Serene said.

"Glad we could help, well my dear sister shall I escort you to the party." I bow all gentleman like chuckling underneath my breathe.

"Why thank you my dear brother." Serene laughs and accepts my hand we descend down the stairs. As we reach the bottom, I feel her hand tense up. I look down to her and seeing her expression changed.

"Whats wrong Serene?" I whispered to her.

"I can't...I don't know why but I need a sec please take me to the side patio please." her voice shaking. I look to Nick and mind link him.

'Hey give us a sec if mom ask tell her she is getting some air and water before we debute her to the public.'

Nick nodded and nudge Travis to follow him.

I grab a water from a serving tray and start taking Serene to the side patio.

I hand her the water and she began to drink slowly. She started to relax and I sat next to her. I could tell that she had a lot on her mind I will ask once but never push her or anyone if they don't want to talk.

"Serene what is wrong? Is there something you want to talk about?" I asked.

Serene rarely has moments like this she is tough, but I know when there is something weighing on her mind.

"I don't know where to start or say. I can't I am sorry I just...Oh goddess I do not want to ruin this makeup." Serene said. I hand her a tissue, remained silent. Serene then looks at me an expression that says do not say anything or react until I am finished. "Adrian what I am gonna tell is only 1 small piece out of 2. I need you to promise me you will not do anything until tomorrow. I just can't keep to myself. I tried but...I..." Serene voice started to shake. I reach out and grab her hand. "Serene whatever you are about to tell me will not make me hate you, judge you or love you sis any less. Take your time and tell me when you are ready." I calmly said to her. I could tell she was relaxing slowly. After a few deep breathes and some silence Serene starts to tell me what happened.

"So I found my mate....and..." Serene began.

"Who is it Serene?" I asked I could tell that this was gonna piss me off I never want my sister to cry I am hoping and praying it is not what I am thinking. But Goddess it was not what I wanted to hear.

"Travis is my mate and he broke the mate bond. Adrian when I saw him everything just came back. I hate him I wish he wasn't here. I wish I never met him or fell in love with him. I wish our paths never crossed." she says quickly catching her breathe. "I know he is with Maria but even then I was okay with allowing him time to think about our bond and Maria. But without hesitation he rejected me." She shakes her head and drinks more water.

'How can he do this to her of all people my sister. Arrox you listening to this.' I asked my wolf.

Growling was all I heard he was just as equally pissed. 'I want to rip him apart Adrian, lets find him.'

"Adrian no don't do that...dddon't even think about finding him please." Serene pleaded with me grabbing my balled up fist. I look to her and there it was those puppy dog eyes..'Ugh'.

I take a few deep breaths and stand up, "Serene I make no promises about tonight, I won't find him I will act normal but one wrong move tonight I will put him in his place. But otherwise I am going to wait until tomorrow. I do not want you to stress out more. I am sorry that this happened. Dad, Mom and Nick are not gonna be happy about this. Damn it." I pace back and forth trying to stay calm but it is hard enough with Arrox feeling the same. "Look this did not happen our conversation...so here is what we are going to do." I kneel down on one knee in front of her grabbing her in a hug. "Serene you are going to put on your best strong shield. You will have fun tonight, it is your birthday. I am gonna make sure along with everyone you are happy just for tonight. Tomorrow we will deal with this together." I pull back to see her face, she nods and hugs me back.

"Thank you Adrian, your the best brother I could ever have. I love you and Nick." Serene said in my ear. I hug her tightly, I help her up and walk her back inside. We run into Elena and Letty.

'Hey she needs you too, I know.' I said to both of them in a mind link.

Immediately Elena nodded and Letty if looks could kill hers could. I knew Serene would be fine. "I am going to make sure everything is ready for your debut so just hang out here and I will mindlink you ladies."

"You got it Adrian." Letty said.

Elena nodded I could tell she wanted to say more but she is biting her tongue.

"Serene it will be okay we got you, I love you sis." I said and then kiss her cheek quickly.

I then start to walk towards the back, 'Nick where are you?'

'I am standing by the dj booth going over the playlist queues. Everything okay?' Nick asked.

'Sorta I will talk about it later. For now lets just focus on making Serene's birthday unforgetable in a positive way.' I said.

'You got it.' Nick replied.

I cut of our link and begin to start conversing with a few pack members. But only thought that came into mind. 'Travis you have a lot to answer for you jacka***,'
