BloodBorne: 3

"Amanalia?" Asked by a familiar voice from behind me. I slowly turned around and saw my friend's mother. "Jic," I called to her, "Good morning to you." "Good morning to you too, Amanalia. Why are you so early today?" she asked, "Are you here to visit Az?" "Yes," I replied. "Oh. Az is still asleep," she said and smiled at me, "Wait, I'll leave you here first, and I'll just wake your friend." "All right. Thank you," I replied to Jic. Jic just nodded before entering their house. Moments later, I heard a loud slap that came from the inside, and at the same time, my friend shouted so loud. "Mother! Why?" She exclaimed. I tried to suppress my laughter because of her reaction, but I really couldn't. "Good morning to you, Az," I laughed. At the same time, she looked at me with a frown on her face. Finally, she got out of her house. Her brows furrowed, and its sharp fangs protrude. It indicates that she was furious at what her mother had done. As a good friend, I still keep laughing at her. I'm still not used to the weird way that her mother uses to wake them up. I never experience it with Araya. She is so compassionate to me every time she wakes me up. According to Az, he is jealous of me. My mother is said to be one of the strongest monsters here in the forest, but Az always told me that they seem like normal animals when it comes to me. I can't see what they mean to one of the powerful monsters because they haven't even shown me their true abilities. They only use their power once every hunting, but that's normal. "There's nothing good in my morning if your face shows up in front of me, Amanalia," She replied with a hint of annoyance in her voice. I laughed even more at her answer, and she immediately sat down next to me, "What are you doing at this time here in our house?" "I didn't teach you bad manners, Azriel!" Her mother shouted from the inside of the house. Az rolled her eyes upward because of what her mother said, "Yes, Mother!" she shouted back and sighed. "What was your trip, and you came here early in the morning, which is my best hour to rest?" She asked in a whispered tone and glared at me. If looks could kill, I would be dead by now. "Is it bad to visit you? We have not seen each other for eight hours, and I missed you so much that I think I am going to be suffocated," I said and laugh. She rolled her eyes one more time before she lay down on the ground. "Just tell me the truth," she said, "In the nearly seventeen years we have been together in the woods, do you think I don't know what's on your mind?" I sat straight and looked at the sky, which was now slowly getting brighter. In just a few minutes from now, we will be able to see Mother Sun again. "So... You already know," I said, "Then just shut up and join me." She turned to me as if his face was asking about what I just said. "Are you serious there?" he asked shockingly, "You're the one who needs my assistance and a companion, but yet, you have the guts to be sarcastic? Where can I get the justice here?" "Why?" I asked, "We are just the same tho. Anyway, get used to it. From how many years have we been together, and yet you are still complaining." Az just shook her head before standing up and walked into her house, "I'll just bid goodbye to my mother. I'm sure I'll be allowed right away, but it is better to be sure than sorry," she said and continued walking. I nodded as a response and looked at the sky again. The breeze is lovely every time the sun comes up—it is cold and very light to feel like it wants me to just go to sleep. Soon, I heard a few footsteps coming from behind me, walking towards my place. I slowly looked around and saw Jic and Az coming out of the house together. I got up from the ground and faced them. Jic gave me a smile before looking at Az badly. "Just make sure that Amanalia goes home safely," her mother reminded her, "Don't ever leave that alone in the forest. If anything bad happens to her, I'll make sure you're the one who will be in trouble." Az frowned at what her mother warned her, "Shouldn't Amanalia be the one to tell you that, mother? Why do I seem to be the one who invited us to leave?" She asked while raising her right eyebrow. "Just shut up and follow what I said," she said, "Now, both of you shall leave and enjoy your day." "What was that?" she complained, "Come on, Amanalia." "We're leaving, Jic," I said and waved my goodbye to her. Jic nodded at me and smiled. Az walked first while talking to herself about what her mother just said. "Aren't you still used to it?" I laughed. "I am not used to it because I am her child, and yet she is more concern about you," she said, "but anyway, at least I understand why." I approached her and touched her thick fur. It's also so soft that it feels like a bed. We just kept walking while talking about the things that happened in our homes. "I just remembered, isn't it your birthday today?" She asked, which cause my eyes to widen. "Oh, come on, Let's not talk about that thing anymore," I said, "I really don't want to talk about that kind of stuff." "Why?" She asked, "Don't you want that? I mean, this is the day that you have been waiting for. This is the day where you can ask your parents about what you want to happen in your life." I was silent because of what he said. Only now do I remember that this is the day when I will say goodbye to my mother and father, if and only if they will allow me to go outside and venture into the world. I wish I could go out of the forest to see what kind of world there is outside. What a way of life they live, and I also want to observe how they behave. I have so many questions in my mind that I want to have an answer, but to get them, I have to get out of here in my home. It's just that I don't know how to tell them about this. To my knowledge, mom and dad are so strict when it comes to my safety, so it's too vague that they will allow me. "I don't know," I replied and sighed, "I don't know how to tell them about that. You know what kind of parents Araya and Damino are." "At least," she said, "You're not going to lose anything if you try, am I right? We can never tell. Maybe... they will grant your wish." "Maybe," I said and just kept quiet.
