Episode 2

"Hi Aunt Grace"I greeted as I entered the room.She immediately stared at me with a look that chilled my bones. I gathered up my courage and went to meet her."You didn't lock my door" she said angrily. I quickly ran towards the door and locked it shut. She gave me a heads-up and asked me to sit on the divan that was sluggishly at the corner of the resting place. "Biscuits or cookies" she asked. "Cookies" I replied. She immediately signaled the maid beside her to get what I requested for. " So why have you come to seek my knowledge, princess"she asked me. I looked at her and this time the stare was a bit cooler than the last one."what a lovely weather we're having today" I complemented. I wasn't going to start of with mystery I just had to blend in everything." Yes Kyra.. The weather is cool and lovely... The ice tea type of weather" she said and smiled. I smiled as well. It was time to ask my questions but in a different way."Aunt Grace" I started." Why doesn't the castle have a magistrate court like the other kingdoms" I concluded. She took a deep breath and sighed." Well Kyra....the castle used to have a magistrate court but it's out of existence" she replied. " Can u take me there" I asked. She looked at me in curiosity and disapproval. With a disapproving Tone as well she told me a big No. I felt quite scared when she told me a no with that tone of speaking. So I looked at her and turned my face to the window."Well...The ground chamber of the castle used to be the magistrate court, jewel room, sorcerer's place,castle celler and the keeper's court but as you can see no one is allowed to venture there anymore not even the king himself goes there"she said after noticing the look I gave her. I became confused. Why was no one allowed to go there. " What was the magistrate court used for" I asked Aunt Grace in confusion. "Well...the magistrate court was used to hold Royal events and judicial cases...but it all ended when it became a place of bloodshed. One could still hear someone using the typewriter in the court room" she concluded. The maid entered the room with a plate of cookies and a jar of milk and some tumblers with her in a large tray."Well princess...you requested and this is it" Aunt Grace exclaimed signalling to the maid to put the tray in my front. She poured the milk in one of the tumblers and handed it over to me. I collected it and drank hurriedy. "Maria" Aunt Grace called the maid. "Yes ma'am"she replied. "Get her a glass of water "Aunt Grace said as she signaled the maid to get me a glass of water. I began to eat my cookies when suddenly a noise from downstairs brought a sudden end to our meeting in Aunt Grace's room. We all ran downstairs to check what happened. "What's going on"Aunt Grace said as we both got down the stairs to the castle court room. My dad was standing by my mum at his side and on the floor was a guard half dead and whimpering in fear. His face looked terrified and so scared. I got scared and behind me was my Kira who also looked afraid. My mum immediately left my dad's side over to where I and my sister Kira were standing. Everyone in the castle were downstairs as this incident happened and I guess my mum didn't want us to know about anything happening. Immediately she got to here I and Kira were standing she took us by the hands and walked back the stairs into our rooms. Something was fishy. Why would something happen and nothing would be mentioned to me. I felt angry at that moment. So I turned up to my mum. "Mum what's going on" I asked her in Ange. She immediately sensed that I was angry at her and sighed. "I'll explain later darling" she replied. I looked at Kira and she kind of agreed to what my mum said. It got me even more angrier so I scoffed and walked away." Why the hell would things happen in this castle and everyone would know about it but never tell me" I thought to myself. Though I was very angry i was able to fake a smile when I saw Lord Gratham, My father's personal assistant. " Princess Kyra" He greeted. " Lord Grantham... Its a pleasure seeing you right now"I said looking suspiciously because something happened downstairs and Lord Grantham was up here. Something didn't seem right at all. Did anything have to do with him staying here? "Lord Gratham why are you here when you're supposed to be downstairs with the royal family"I asked because I was getting too curious and he didn't even looked bothered at all. It was disturbing." Ohh really" he replied. Immediately I felt something was really going on but I couldn't get what it was. Magistrate court,Royal events and judicial cases,Jewel too,Sorcerer's place,Numbered rooms, Lord Gratham, Typewriter....it just did not go along.....I was missing something and I had to find out what it was really that was wrong somewhere. "OK Lord Graham I guess you'll have to run down and check what is going on"I said and walked passed him. It was really not good at all and to top it I was highly confused. I entered my room and locked the door tightly shut. I sat on my bed and brought out my note pad and my fluffy pen as well and opened the piece of paper I found earlier. I wrote:

            •Magistrate court •••••••Typewriting sounds, Royal events and judicial cases.

             •Castle cellar

              •Jewel room and Sorcerer's place

               •Lord Gratham and his suspicious behaviors

"How do all these things tally along" I said to myself as I closed my note pad and kept the fluffy pen. I was so confused and curious. I really wanted to know what was actually really going on. I heard a knock on the door and i went over to open it. It was Kira. "Hey sis" I greeted as she walked in. "What's up with the drama" she asked. I laughed and she joined in. "Kira, like really you know what brought about the drama so I don't need to tell you anything at all"i said as she took off her shoes and laid them at the bed side. "Kyra, come on you really don't need to get pissed off at mum" Kira said. I realized that what I did to mum was wrong. "I'll try and apologize to her tomorrow"I said in reply. "Kira , I want to tell you something really surprising"I said. In attentive ears, Kira looked at me and the look she gave me was so curious and anxious. So I continue talking. "After I left you and mum, I was walking down the hallway and found Lord Gratham loitering in the hallway and to my surprise he wasn't aware of the things going on downstairs"I exclaimed. "Eh!!!!!!"Kira asked in awe. "How would he not know what was going on when he was with dad before the incident"she asked theoretically speaking. "He was with dad?????"I asked. "Of course, while I was with mum... He whispered something in her ears and they both went downstairs together" she said in surprise. "But he told me that he wasn't aware of it"I said again. Right now everything was getting more confusing and more mysterious. This was not the easiest thing to solve at all.
