Natasha had dark rings around her eyes, and her features were much more prominent. She looked like she hadn't slept or eaten in days.
I turned back around and dug my face into the crook of Alex's neck as the sobs continued. I couldn't stop them.
Someone came up and I was passed over to another person. James wrapped his arms around me and held on tightly. I grabbed his shirt and pressed further into him if that were even possible.
The tears streamed down and I had trouble catching my breath. James tightened his hold to where I felt like I couldn't breathe, but it was oddly relaxing.
He leaned down and pressed a kiss on the top of my head.
The sobs continued more and more, and my breath was decreasing with every minute.
”Avery, love?” James said and leaned back
