Chapter 2           When Atticus arrived at the school he silently sit on his chair. It was 7:10 in the morning and a few students was at the room right now. He does not speak or talk often in their classes. His classmates were also avoiding him because they’re afraid they might get involve when Dalton’s group will bully him again. He looked at his polo shirt and saw some stains. He got it when he helped an old woman to throw away the trashes. The old woman was jolly, her smile is so soft and he’s sad because he doesn’t have a grandma like her. Atticus tried to wipe the stains on his clothes but it could not be removed. He’s sure that it will not come off easily. He sighed because this was the only sensible uniform he had. When their professor came all of his classmates outside went inside and sit on their designated chair. They started to talk to each other and Atticus bow down his head. He wanted to talk to them too but he can’t do that. He was like a ghost inside the room. For his classmates he doesn’t exist. He only exists when they’re going to bully him. Ah, he was very unlucky. “Congratulations Class! I am glad to know that all of you passed the preliminary examination! What a good start for the first semester right?” the Professor said, “Yes! Thank you for the good news, Professor Gianna!” Maya said Maya was the President of their class. She’s a bully too. Atticus sighed, she’s one of the students who bully him and the sad truth is she’s the block’s president. Being a president doesn’t mean that you are good, that you always help people and stop students from doing bad things. Maya wasn’t like that. She likes spotlight that’s why even if she’s the block president she does bad things to her classmates. Their classmates worship her because of her bad deed that’s why even if she’s the president she continues to bully other students. “I am so happy; Thank you class for working so hard to get a good score! Please give yourselves a loud of applause!” the professor said Atticus slowly claps his hand while looking at their professor. He doesn’t want to hope but he’s so nervous. He hopes he passed the exam. The lessons were hard but he tried to learn everything at the library before the exams. It doesn’t matter if he gets a grade of 75; all he wants is to pass all the exams. “The coward was applauding with us. Did he really think he passed the exam?” “I don’t think he could pass even an activity, Sasha.” “He’s stupid!” “Look at his eyeglass. So thick! He is a stupid nerd!” Atticus closed his eyes and lowered his hands. He hid them under his desk. This happen always every time their Professor will release the result of the exams. What he hears is not easy for him. His level of confidence dropped even more. “Stop talking with each other class, I will distribute your test papers.” The Professor said The Professor’s name is Gianna she’s one of the kind professors at the university. Miss Gianna always helps him when he doesn’t understand a lesson at her subject. “Tristan, I’m glad you improved! Make sure next time you will do more than this okay?” she said to his classmates “Thank you, Miss Gianna!” his classmate answered Ah, he also wants a compliment from her. Atticus did everything to learn the history about the medieval period it was actually very long and some information’s were hard to understand but he made sure that he take down all the important details he needs. He prepared himself for the exam and he was expecting that he would pass now. “Mr. Fherin?” Professor Gianna called him and he immediately stand up. He walks in front of the room but he was tripped when his classmate block his foot causing him to fall. He heard his classmate’s laughter when he falls. Atticus stood up and hurriedly went to take his test paper from their Professor. “Stop laughing class! Please look at your test papers and let us answer the following. List down your wrong answers and listens carefully I will read the details about the medieval period.” Atticus went to his sit. He’s nervous. “The term and its conventional meaning were introduced by Italian humanists with invidious intent. The humanists were engaged in a revival of Classical learning and culture, and the notion of a thousand-year period of darkness and ignorance separating them from the ancient Greek and Roman world served to highlight the humanists’ own work and ideals.” Their Professor started to read about the medieval period. She told the right answers every question. Atticus looked at his paper when he saw his score he put down his paper. “85.” He saw his score at the top of the paper. Am I dreaming? Did I really pass? He wasn’t expecting it that’s why he almost stood up. When he looked at his Professor she was smiling at him as if telling him he did a great job. “Yes! So this is how it feels when something you work for turns out to be a good.” He said to his mind Atticus listens to Professor Gianna while she’s discussing in front. Professor Gianna pointed out their mistakes; she taught why some of them got the wrong answer. “Professor Gianna said a while ago that we all passed the exam? So that means even the i***t Atticus passed?” he heard one of his classmate asked “Even if you call me freak, i***t or anything my mind was occupied by this good news” he said to himself Atticus was in a good mood right now. Even if Dalton’s group will beat him he doesn’t care. This is the first exam result he passed for the preliminary. “I am glad that all of you passed the exam. No one failed! Again, give yourselves a loud applause.” Their professor said He adjusted his eyeglass. He was so happy right now! What a good start for the first semester. When the history subject end Professor Gianna told them to study about the renaissance period. “Search for the timeline, facts and important details about the renaissance period. That’s out next topic.” “Okay, Class good bye! Congratulations for passing the preliminary exam!” When their Professor left Atticus was about to put his test paper inside his bag when his classmate took it on his hand. “Whoa, you got 85? Did you cheat?” “Did he really got a score of 85, Sasha?” “Whoa, let me see?” His classmates took his test paper and he saw how it torn. “Oops,” When they returned the test paper to him, it was divided into three. Atticus tears fell and he heard his classmate’s laughter. “We are not sorry for what happened to your test paper, i***t Atticus.” Sasha said   How will his life at school be at peace if he has evil classmates?
