Melissa looked at him and saw the pain in his eyes, but within her she was happy that Leo said he felt love for her, that was all she had wanted to hear from him, nothing else mattered to her.
She stood up from the couch and walked to the front door, leaving Leo still on the couch, when she got to the door, she took another look at Leo who was still seated on the couch gazing into space as though he was seeing something Melissa couldn’t see.

There was no need of chasing after her, because he really wants her to face Reality that they can’t be together.
