Long before memory, before the stars learned their names, there existed an ethereal being known only as Hecate.

With flowing white hair that shimmered like moonlight upon the sea and a beauty that seemed woven from the fabric of distant worlds, she wandered the forgotten isles of Greece in solitude. The winds whispered secrets through ancient olive groves, yet none could answer the question that lingered within her heart: Why was she brought into existence?

Alone beneath endless skies, Hecate spent her days singing to the creatures that gathered at her side and listening to the eternal rhythm of waves breaking upon sun-kissed shores. The sea seemed to know something she did not, carrying mysteries from distant horizons and lost ages.

As the seasons drift by, strange signs begin to emerge from the shadows of her secluded paradise—echoes of a destiny waiting to awaken. Drawn by forces older than time itself, Hecate embarks on a journey not only to uncover the truth of her purpose but also to discover whether a soul exists who can see beyond her celestial beauty and into the depths of her lonely heart.

In a world where gods have faded into legend and magic still lingers beneath the surface of reality, Hecate must decide whether her destiny lies among the stars—or in the arms of an unexpected love.

Will she uncover the reason for her existence, or will the greatest mystery of all be finding someone with whom to share eternity?

Tide of Awakening
The Ilse That Forgot Her Name It was a night without beginning or end. Over the Isle of Greece, the heavens burned softly with distant stars, scattered like forgotten embers across an endless dark sea. The air was still—too still—as if the world itself were holding its breath. There stood a serene woman, basking in the moonlight. An ethereal woman carved from moonlight and solitude, her presence blending with the shore as though she had been born from sand and tide. Her long white hair flowed behind her like liquid starlight, stirred by the faint breath of the ocean breeze. Silver strands shimmered against the darkness, catching every fragment of moonlight as though the night itself had crowned her. One small hand rested lightly over her heart. Loneliness had become her oldest companion. She did not know how she came to this place. Not when she arrived. Not who she had been before it. Not even if there had been a before. The questions haunted every waking hour. The island was a mystery that refused to be solved. Hecate had spent countless days wandering its winding paths, determined to uncover the truth hidden beneath its tranquil beauty. Yet each journey only left her with more questions than answers. Paths she swore she had already explored sometimes led somewhere entirely different the next day. Ancient stairways carved into the cliffs ended abruptly against solid stone, as though the mountain itself had swallowed whatever lay beyond. Certain groves seemed untouched by time, their trees impossibly old, their roots twisting across the earth like sleeping serpents. Sometimes she would discover markings carved into rocks she had never noticed before. Then there was the spring. The hidden cove nestled among the cliffs had become her sanctuary over the years. Crystal-clear water flowed endlessly from the stone, gathering in a pool so pure she could see every pebble resting at its bottom. The water was always cold. Always the same. No matter how much she drank, no matter how many dry summers passed, the spring never diminished. Its source remained unknown. At night the pool occasionally glowed. Only faintly. Only for a few moments. Silver light would drift beneath its surface like liquid moonbeams before disappearing again. The glow felt familiar. Though she could never explain why. The palace was perhaps the island's greatest mystery. It stood atop a rise overlooking the sea, its weathered towers visible from nearly every corner of the island. Sometimes Hecate wondered whether the structure had once belonged to gods. No ordinary people could have built something so beautiful. Columns of white marble rose toward the heavens despite centuries of ruin. Intricate carvings covered every wall, depicting scenes she could not fully understand. Many portrayed stars. Others depicted oceans. And some showed figures standing beneath strange celestial lights. One carving fascinated her more than all the others. It had been etched into a fractured wall within the palace's deepest chamber. The image depicted an island surrounded by swirling waves. Above it hung three moons. Every other detail remained untouched. Sometimes she dreamed about the palace. In those dreams it was whole. Its halls blazed with golden light. Voices echoed through its corridors. Music drifted through open archways. People walked its halls. Countless people. Yet whenever she tried to see their faces, she awoke. The dreams always ended the same way. The palace empty. The voices gone. And herself standing alone within the silence. The island's forests were no less strange. Birds nested among the branches. Small animals darted through the undergrowth. Life flourished everywhere. Yet there were moments when everything would suddenly stop. No warning. No explanation. One instant birds would be singing. The next, absolute silence. Even the wind would vanish. The stillness never lasted long. Perhaps a few seconds. A minute at most. But during those moments Hecate always felt watched. Not by something hostile. By something patient. Ancient. The sensation followed her throughout the years. The island was alive. Not in the way animals or people were alive. Something older. Its cliffs seemed to observe. Its forests seemed to listen. Its stones seemed to remember. And somehow, despite all her searching, she knew the island was keeping secrets from her. Secrets buried beneath centuries. Secrets hidden within the palace walls. Secrets sleeping beneath the sea itself. Sometimes she stood atop the highest cliff and stared across the horizon. The ocean stretched endlessly in every direction. No ships ever passed. No distant shores appeared. No signs of civilization existed beyond the water. Only endless blue during the day. Endless darkness at night. It was as though the island existed apart from the rest of the world. Forgotten. Hidden. Waiting. For what, she did not know. Yet she often felt that she was not merely living upon the island. She was part of it. Bound to it. Connected by invisible threads she could neither see nor break. The realization frightened her more than loneliness ever could. Because if the island had chosen her— Then perhaps her arrival had never been an accident. Only the sea—endless, indifferent, and impossibly vast. The ocean enchanted her beneath the sun. Sapphire waters sparkled beneath daylight, beautiful enough to make her believe freedom waited just beyond the horizon. But at night it became something else. Something watchful. Something ancient. Its black waters stretched into infinity, swallowing moonlight whole and returning only distorted reflections. The waves whispered against the shore in a language she could almost understand, yet never quite hear. And still she returned to it. Every night. As if somewhere beneath the rolling tide an answer waited for her. Tonight, however, the sea felt different. A quiet wrongness slipped into the air. Not a sound. Not a movement. A feeling. The sensation was subtle yet impossible to ignore, like the world had shifted a fraction of an inch out of place. Hecate felt it before she saw it. Like a thread pulled taut through her very soul. Her gaze sharpened. Then light appeared beneath the surface. A pale glow, faint at first, like an ancient eye opening in the darkness below. The water did not reflect the light. It held it. Contained it. Nurtured it. Hecate stepped backward instinctively. Though she had never witnessed such a thing before, something deep within her understood that she was standing at the edge of a moment that would divide her life into before and after. The glow deepened. The sea rippled in patterns untouched by wind or tide. Something was rising. Something old. Something that had slept beneath the world since the dawn of time. Then the ocean parted its silence. The water rose. Slowly. And impossible shapes emerged from the depths. A breath caught in her throat. Two figures stepped from the sea as though the ocean itself had chosen to wear human form. They moved between dream and reality, each step carrying the quiet certainty of destiny. Water streamed from their bodies in silver ribbons, reluctant to release them back to the world above. Hecate could not move. The universe seemed to narrow around them. The stars dimmed. The waves hushed. Even the wind dared not speak. She saw them clearly now. Beautiful beyond reason. Beyond nature. Beyond anything she had imagined could exist. Though their faces mirrored one another almost perfectly, everything else stood in stark contrast. One radiated a calm, luminous grace reminiscent of moonlit waters. The other carried the untamed majesty of a storm gathering beyond the horizon. Opposites. Yet bound together. Like tide and tempest. Like creation and destruction. Like fate and choice. Hecate did not understand what she was seeing. Their eyes met hers. For a single heartbeat, the world seemed to stop. Something ancient stirred within her. Something forgotten. Something that felt dangerously close to memory. The feeling struck her with such force that tears threatened to form in her eyes. She did not know who they were. She did not know why they had come. She only knew it felt… fated.
