"Are you hungry?" Maddox asks me once I exit the bathroom. I sheepishly nod. I was too busy getting ready that I didn't make time to eat. And once I finished getting ready, I was too nervous to bother. I didn't feel my hunger until I arrived here. Maddox motions for me to follow him into the kitchen and I do. "You have two very marvelous options," he announces as he washes his hands. "Which are?" I question with a small smile on my lips. He dries his hands on a paper towel before looking at me. I take a seat at the kitchen island and watch as he walks to the pantry and then to the freezer. He drops the two items on the counter. Like a woman from a game show, he points at them and speaks in an oddly happy voice. "Your first option is ramen noodles, made with the finest water from the tap.
