EMMA'S POV
The revelation hit me like a punch. The man with whom I shared laughter, secrets, and, most importantly, my heart, was a sham.
“Do you mean Bobby Davis is Robert Parker? And that he's the CEO of the company that sabotaged me, that ruined my career?” Miranda nodded. “Yes, Emma. Bobby is Robert Parker.”
My heart leaped as if struck by lightning. “It can't be. It's not possible. Why would he do this?”
Miranda sighed. “I don't know, Emma. Maybe it was to get close to you, maybe for business reasons. The only thing I know is that he hid his true identity from all of us.”
