As I continued to work on the Sullivan Tech project alongside Emma, focused on our tasks, the apartment door suddenly swung open, and Miranda made her entrance. She approached me with an enthusiasm that took me by surprise. Before I could grasp what was happening, her lips met mine in an unexpected kiss.
“Missed you,” she said with a smile as I pulled away, visibly taken aback. I didn't know how to react to this unexpected situation. My mind was still processing what had happened between Emma and me, and now this?
I tried to respond the best I could. “I missed you too, but I'm busy right now.” It was all I managed to say, not wanting to create an even more complicated situation.
“By the way, are you free this weekend?” Miranda asked.
