Chapter Four

Arrival

As we drive to the Black Claw pack, it is beautiful territory. The mountains in the background, the canopy of tall trees, and just the natural beauty of what looks like a large lake off to the right.

I am in a trans as i see the lake and feel calm. I know it is just the calm before the storm. As well get closer, Bane is becoming more restless and irritating. Pacing back and forth and not speaking, which is definitely not him. normally i can't get him to be quiet. so this is something completely new to me. I just sit there looking at the landscape as we get closer to the pack house.

We are here alpha. On our arrival, I find very few guards and just a small patrol in place.

I growl because I know it's gonna be the same as always, the alpha's daughter up my ass.

As Luke and I walk up to the pack house, the door opens and the alpha and his mistress are there to greet each other.

Alpha Bradley glad you could come. Come in, dinner is ready and we will have your things taken up to your rooms.

The pack house was small but fairly nice.

As we entered the dining hall, my wolf started screaming, MATE!!!!!!!! Bane calm down. My wolf tries to push forward to find his mate.

I look around for anyone who is possibly my mate, as I am distracted. Alpha Michael's daughter wraps her arm through mine and purrs. I looked down at her and became very irritated.

Take your hands off me right now. I growled.

Smelling the scent of vanilla and lavender sends my wolf into overdrive.

Knowing that it isn't the alpha's daughter, I remove myself from her touch, which frustrates her and she storms off.

Still trying to find where the smell was coming from, I looked around.

Alpha Michael apologizes for his daughter's behavior and we sit at the dining room table. A bunch of omegas begin serving the food.

As we eat, I scan the room trying to find the smell.

Alpha Bradley, we have been having trouble with rouges for the last few months. I am very grateful for the help that you are providing us with. Alpha Michael said

Why have they been attacking lately, Bradley asked.

I mindlink Luke, My mate is here somewhere.

Luke looks at me and links back. I will look around.

Linda

Seriously, he is going to push me off like that and act all high and mighty. I am an alpha daughter and need to be mated to an alpha. I know he is not my mate, but he could take me as his chosen mate. I don't know why he is waiting for his fated mate. I am better than any he could be mated to. I have a very good blood line and lineage. Growling in my head, I need to find an outlet for my anger. I walked into the kitchen and found the one person who would work.

I grabbed Nina by the hair and dragged her down the stairs, punched her and stomped on her. I hear bones breaking but i just don't care. I am beyond angry and need to vent my anger. He rejected my advances and I was mad. I stomp on her hand. I hear bones break, I grab her hair and pull her up to punch her in the face several times. I hear her nose break. I punch her again in the side of the head and then I drop her hair and watch as she falls face first. I just smiled and walked up stairs having vented my anger, I actually felt good now.

Nina

I was in the kitchen in the corner as instructed and my half-sister grabs me and yanks me down the stairs to the basement where she slaps me and punches me. I fall to the floor, curl up and protect my head. She stomps on me and kicks my ribs so hard I heard the break. She then stomps on my hand, breaking my fingers. I feel light-headed when she grabs my hair, jerks me up and proceeds to punch me, not slap but full on punch me. This breaks my nose. I saw black spots forming in my eyes and I started to sway. I felt a hard hit to the side of my head and then nothing but black. She let go of my hair and I fell face first to the ground and didn't move. After she is done venting her anger about the rejection from the alpha, she heads back up stairs. I lay there struggling to breathe.

Lena whimpers and does her best to try and calm me so that we can heal. I lay there for a while. I hear someone coming and I know I'm in trouble because I am not in the kitchen where I was told to stay.

Luke

After we entered the house, Bradley mind linked me and said his mate was here somewhere. I am wandering the pack house and I head to the basement where I see someone lying on the floor. There is blood and wheezing. She looks very young and badly beaten.

Bradley I mindlink, Basement now.

I got a mindlink from Luke to come to the basement. I asked Alpha Michael where the basement was and he took me to the basement.

As I enter, I am overwhelmed by the sweet smell of vanilla and lavender, but it's mixed with blood.

Luke looked up as he went down the stairs.

MINE!!!!! I growl

Alpha Michael gasped and was shocked.

Who did this to my MATE? My eyes are black and I am beyond angry.

Alpha Michael doesn't answer.

His daughter behind him does, I did, she's a nobody.

Alpha Bradley growls, she is not a nobody, she is my mate.

Linda’s face froze into a shocked expression and went pale.

I reached my mate to pick her up and I felt her tiny body shake. She is bleeding out of her mouth and nose. Her breath is ragged.

Where is the pack doctor?

The Alpha shows me the way to a small clinic.

I placed my mate on the bed.

The doctor came in. One look and tells everyone to leave

I remain in place NO she is my mate.

After a shocked look, the doctor says you have to leave. I need to prep her. I reluctantly left the room.

Minutes later, the doctor returned. I have to do surgery. I look at her and tell her to do whatever she has to do to save my mate.
