~ Chapter One ~
Violet's POV
"What the hell did you do?!" Amanda screamed at me after I punched her so-called 'Perv' best friend in the face.
Want to know the story?
Well, I was about to grab lunch with my mates when George was cornered and attempted to touch me. And I hate those kinds of slutty things that boys are after. I'm not a slut, I'm a girl, a dangerous one, and this p*****t needs to know it. That's why I punched him straight in his face, which caused him to have his nose bleed.
Of course, after the scenario, a drama queen must be present to defend her poor prince charming. So, Amanda came running in, screaming, and scramming that was slowly catching everyone's attention.
Great.
Attention.
That's what I hate when I'm not in the mood.
So resolving things fast, I walked past through them to avoid any conflict before I got mad and slapped her face. But instead of retreating, she, Amanda, didn't let go of me and blocked my way.
I sighed.
I wasn't planning to go and punish someone today, but I guess I'm about to now.
Time is precious for me, especially when I'm hungry and this b***h here just wasted ten minutes of my lunch break. I can't retreat, I'm annoyed and scoring one out of ten. My patience has literally reached the highest point of my limit.
Since I could not withstand her, I released a deadly stare.
"Move." I demanded with firm authority.
And with the way Amanda's voice shaken, I know she fears me.
Well, who isn't?
"Look! Amanda and Violet are about to fight!"
"Omygosh!, I'm sure Amanda wouldn't stand a chance,"
"I know Violet is a disaster!"
"Too bad Violet is a freak."
Everyone who is watching in the hallway started whispering and spreading rumors about the two of us starting a fight.
I smirked.
"No!" Amanda pushed herself, and before I could make a move, she slapped me.
"Omygosh!"
"Go, Amanda!"
"Damn, this is so intense."
Luckily, her slap was not that strong and painful, but it was enough for me to snap my head and mouth open. If there is one thing I'm most concerned about...that is myself being hurt.
No one has the power to humiliate me that easily except for me and myself. This b***h is really getting on my nerves, so I immediately pulled her hair and dragged her on the floor, screaming for help.
"AHHHH!!!! I HATE YOU!" She screamed while struggling to fight with me.
"HOW DARE YOU TOUCH MY FACE YOU b***h!" I angrily screamed, pulling her hair even harder.
"HELLP!!!"
"I'M GOING TO MAKE SURE YOU DIE FUCKER!" I continued on.
A few minutes later, I felt someone pulling me away from Amanda. It was my gang mates and George who pulled us away, because if they didn't, I'm sure Amanda would die without seeing her state full of blood and scratches.
HA! WEAKLING!
"You're going to pay for this!" She shouted at me.
"Go on, Fight me!" I responded back, catching my breath from anger.
"Violet, stop, have you forgotten who she is?" My friends reminded me of her status in school.
"I don't care! She should learn some manners!"
An hour passed, and we were brought to the guidance office for disciplinary action.
"What came to your mind and did this to my daughter, Miss Midnight?!" Amanda's father scolded me while his spoiled child is faking her sob stories.
I rolled my eyes.
Being unfair and overdramatic really comes into their family.
I mean, what's the point of gathering us in the guidance office if it's obvious that they will bias their decision?
Damn, now that I thought of it. It turns out I haven't had my lunch yet. That's why my stomach keeps on grumbling.
Ugh, now what?
A few minutes later my mom came in and gave me the death stare she used to show when I was in middle school and then my dad came in next.
First, everyone settled down until the Principal talked about the situation. I didn't really care if my parents were going to scold me, but what I couldn't stand at all is whenever they blame their selves in front of others while I'm there present and listening. And to add things up, I hate it when they don't listen to my side and come up with their own conclusion.
It's as if I'm invisible to them.
"See, if only Violet was living with me, she wouldn't have been behaving like you!" My dad started.
"So, is it my fault now? Didn't you recall that you had Violet kicked out of your house just because your mistress hated her? "If there's anyone to blame, it's you!" My mom responded.
In a swift second, the atmosphere inside the room instantly changed. My parents started fighting over me, and so I talked about the consequences myself before it gets any worse here.
"Sorry for interrupting Mr. Denvers, but may I please know the consequence I'm going to get?" I spoke aloud that stopped my parents from arguing and the Principal to clear his throat over my direct question.
"Expulsion Miss Midnight, you're now Expelled,"
Finally!
I then smiled and took my bag with me.
"Thanks, that's all I needed to hear." I responded and left the room immediately.
I couldn't stand them anymore.
Every time they fought in front of me, it reminds me of the past when they tore away my perfect life. I never thought things would turn this way and funny how I prayed so hard to keep them together, yet they didn't because of that one mistress I hate.
Since I've already been expelled, I'm now free to do whatever I want, and that is to run away.
As I was about to exit the school, a luxurious car stopped in my exact spot. And when its window rolled down, I saw a very familiar face that invited me in.
At first, I was becoming suspicious though when I saw one tiny detail that gained my trust.
It was that red mark that symbolized 'HIGH AUTHORITY' in every gangster's rank.
"Hello, Midnight. It's nice to see you again."
"Harris Preston." I called his name.
"Come, I'll take you to lunch and discuss an important matter there," he said.
Of course, who am I to decline?
"So how is school going?" Harris asked me while I was busy eating my steak.
I shrugged my shoulders.
"I got expelled," I confidently said while he sat quietly.
I thought he was going to laugh at me though, because in every gangster that's an amateur role everyone gets to experience.
"I see, so I guess it wouldn't be hard for me to pursue you," He said, and somehow I got interested.
"What is it that you want now? Do you have someone for me to knock down?" I asked.
"No,"
"Actually, I wanted to train you," He answered.
"Train me? Am I not the strongest gangster you have?"
"You are, but you're not really the best."
I stopped eating when he said that.
Okay, is he humiliating me now? Because I can show him he's wrong..
"Get to the point, spill." I said, putting down my spoon and fork.
"I want you to enter the Imperial Isle Academy."
"You mean the school for gangsters?"
"The school for gangsters who would like to have a better future while serving the VIPs, not only that, after you graduate, you will get a permanent job and wealth as an assassin, agent or spy depending on your rank," Harris elaborated.
"Why me?" I questioned him.
"Because I see the potential in you, so are you willing or not?"
I took a deep breath to find my decision. This is huge and a wonderful opportunity, a school that fits my life. This is great and exciting, besides it's far away from here, so it would be a great idea for me to escape reality and from my parents.
"So when do we leave?" I asked Harris.
"Now," He answered.
"But what about my things?!" I began to panic because I didn't like the idea of going back home to get my things. I really want to leave now!
"Don't worry, everything is provided there Midnight." He smiled.
Game on!
